Overall Rationale: What a Crazy Conference Championship weekend this turned out to be. First was the final Pac 12 Conference Championship that happened on Friday Night with Washington proving its stake in the CFP. Then Saturday with Texas taking Oklahoma State to the woodshed, they managed to stake their claim to the CFP as well. Then Alabama of all teams making an upset against a Georgia team that was unstoppable the past few years and showing why they’re not to be overlooked. Then Michigan giving Iowa a Shutout more or less gave them the first #1 seed going into the bowls since the 1997 season in which Nebraska won the National Championship thanks to leaping Michigan in the Coaches Poll after a dominant win against Tennessee in the 1998 Orange Bowl. Then Florida State showing they can be without Jordan Travis and still be one of the best teams in the land. Unfortunately the CFP screwed Florida State Big time, but in my poll I do think Florida State deserved a shot in the CFP and it sucks that it didn’t get to 12 teams in 2023. Oh well, onto the bowl season and may crazy things happen in the bowl season.
