Overall Rationale: Please note that I did not rank any of my top 4 based on who should play who in the semifinals— they're ranked independently in that sense.

1 Washington Huskies Interchangeable with Michigan.
2 Michigan Wolverines Interchangeable with Washington.
3 Texas Longhorns If you look at my polling history you'll see that I've always had them consistently high, and for good reason. Their performance in the CCG was convincing enough to justify #3 for me. They are also in over Alabama due to H2H.
4 Florida State Seminoles They get #4 and not #3 because of Texas' better performance in a CCG, but the bottom line is that FSU is in over Alabama because of their undefeated status as a Power 5 champion. A QB injury does NOT overshadow everything else they have going, and my eye test throughout the duration of the season has them passing more often than Alabama.
5 Alabama Crimson Tide First one out because although an SEC Championship is impressive, their loss to Texas doesn't allow for a jump up above FSU. If they had been undefeated I would consider putting them at #4.
