1 Michigan Wolverines 13-0 season capped off with a crushing beatdown of Iowa. But given the expectations and what Michigan has done the past few years, this is now put up or shut up time.
2 Washington Huskies Somehow underestimated, but yet they kept winning. Not always pretty, and far from stress-free. But the resume for Washington is sparkling.
3 Florida State Seminoles That defense can play with everybody. And I'm sorry, they lost their star quarterback and his backup and still won on the road in the Swamp then smothered a decent Louisville team. While I have no love for the school in Tallahassee, if this team gets left out of the playoff despite going 13-0, why even play the games?
4 Texas Longhorns Dominant win over Oklahoma State as they win the Big 12 on the way out the door. With the head to head over Bama given equal records, by two possessions too, there should be no overthinking things. And also I'll say the line: Texas is Back.
5 Alabama Crimson Tide Nick Saban has done it again. What else can I say? And while I refuse to rank Bama in the Top 4, Alabama is why I felt playoff expansion was always necessary. While they don't deserve it in this format, the fact Alabama won't be playing for a title after this weekend is a travesty and why I'm glad we're finally moving in the 21st century in deciding a champion in this sport starting next year.
6 Georgia Bulldogs Kinda poetic that the most dominant stretch Georgia has ever seen got bookended by Nick Saban.
7 Ohio State Buckeyes Slight chances of getting in were dashed almost immediately this weekend. Still, a good bowl awaits.
8 Oregon Ducks Pain.
9 Penn State Nittany Lions James Franklin is the happiest person on earth that the 12 team playoff starts next year. I decided to move them up from last week's poll because in the end their only two losses were competitive games to the big 2 in the Big Ten East.
10 Missouri Tigers A huge 10-2 season for Drinkwitz, now to see how he builds on it.
11 Oklahoma Sooners A what if of Bedlam and the Kansas game looms.
