Overall Rationale: Letting the computer rip, since it's had Oklahoma #1 for weeks, however, my rule stands: if you've won back to back national titles you get to stay at #1 until someone beats you...

1 Georgia Bulldogs Tied for 2nd in the algorithm after a monster win,
2 Oklahoma Sooners They were already the algorithm's #1 for a while based on performance against mediocre teams, but beating Texas sent them to the another level.
3 Michigan Wolverines also tied for 2nd, great performances, but have to see how it holds up against real talent.
4 Oregon Ducks serious national title contender
5 Penn State Nittany Lions another serious contender, only behind in the algorithm because they've had their bye week.
6 Washington Huskies computer had them behind Texas, but they are getting bumped for being unbeaten, winner of Oregon-Washington this weekend is a huge favorite to make the playoffs and win the PAC.
7 Alabama Crimson Tide right back in it. my prediction pre-season was Saban's Last Ride, he wins the national championship and retires. After a bumpy start that looks possible again.
8 Ohio State Buckeyes very good, but missing something, the algorithm agrees with the eye here
9 Texas Longhorns probably too low tbh, plenty of time to recover and get a rematch with OU
10 Florida State Seminoles have great moments, but have only put it all together against LSU, and that win is diminished now that we've seen more of LSU's defense.
11 Louisville Cardinals well... they just keep winning.
12 North Carolina Tar Heels still not sure what to think here. An interesting test this weekend.
13 USC Trojans It's disrespectful to the game to have a defense this bad with their talent level.
14 Ole Miss Rebels
15 Utah Utes
16 Tennessee Volunteers
17 Kansas Jayhawks Pretty clear that they are good, but really rely on Daniels.
18 LSU Tigers
19 Tulane Green Wave still my top g5, lost a lot of hype by losing to Ole Miss, but I think they win it with a healthy Pratt. I maintain that game was much close than the final score indicates.
20 Oregon State Beavers
21 Air Force Falcons potential to fast track to the mountain west championship with a win this weekend. love what they have done.
22 Wyoming Cowboys tough team, really difficult to beat at home, i give AF the edge this weekend, but this one could easily be run back for the MWC title.
23 Duke Blue Devils
24 West Virginia Mountaineers salty defense, really only one clear game that they will be a big underdog for left on the schedule, so anything could happen.... but its hard to keep winning consistently by one score...
25 James Madison Dukes its crazy how quickly this program became a leader in the Sun Belt- IMO the #2 G5 conference.
