Overall Rationale: Wins and losses matter, but that part of it isn't as strong right now due to the lack of games played. I penalize teams a lot more for struggling in wins and may not penalize teams as much for close losses to good teams in this early part of the season, and can also wildly shift teams that play way above or below expectation. I didn't boost Ole Miss as much up nor knock Tulane as much down due to them not having Pratt. Similarly, Utah only got a moderate knock for their close game at Baylor. Apologies to UCLA and Wazzu, but UCLA hasn't shown me anything special and I never thought Wisconsin was even close to being a top 25 team, so I didn't rank either of you. Fresno State drops out due to going to OT vs Eastern Washington, but they would be my #26 team. I think going on the road and taking out Pitt in the way they did is very impressive, so Cincy went from not on my radar to top 25 rather quickly. Miami (gross) is ranked this week after their win over TAMU, plus looking good vs the other Miami. I'm giving some benefit of the doubt to Georgia as of now for their slow-starts-but-good-finishes, but if the game vs South Carolina is in any way close, they will likely be dropping.
