1 Georgia Bulldogs One of the best looking teams in the country beat what should be a top 25 team like a drum to get them the first overall spot
2 Alabama Crimson Tide FCS competition doesn't give enough confidence to keep them at 1 over GA
3 Ohio State Buckeyes Loss of JSN did cuase trouble with ND however they won with a strong running game and deserve to maintain ranking
4 Texas A&M Aggies FCS game nothing to report
5 Michigan Wolverines Need to figure out the QB competition for me to feel confident maintaining but their first real game will be week 4/5
6 Baylor Bears FCS game nothing to report
7 Oklahoma Sooners Vs UTEP hard to draw any conclusions at the moment
8 Oklahoma State Cowboys Central did get the backdoor cover but thy still looked like a good team. If this trend continues it may be grounds for a future drop but no movement now
9 Michigan State Spartans Did not provide a solid showing vs Western Michigan which is grounds for a slight drop. However they still belong solidly in the second tier
10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Loss to OSU does not warrant massive dropoff from last week especially considering they managed to keep it a tight game for the majority of the contest. Offensive line play will continue to be a question mark that may drop them further in the future.
11 Wisconsin Badgers Their first game is week 4.
12 Florida Gators Excellent showing at home against a top 10 ranked Utah. If AR can keep up this performance they will be a team to watch this year. Ignoring poll inertia puts them solidly top 15 if we assume Utah is a good team which they still appear to be.
13 Utah Utes Loss to florida does hurt however they rode the back of a dominant run game to do so and were one play away from making it. Drop warranted but still solidly in tier 2
14 Oregon Ducks That was bad. Like really bad. That said Georgia is the clear best team in the country so they don't deserve a MASSIVE drop but still a drop is necessary
15 Miami Hurricanes 70 points is a good first showing. Looking forward to week 3 vs TAMU
16 USC Trojans No movement on the dial yet
17 Arkansas Razorbacks Good showing against Cincinnati however the win felt as though it came from Cinci mistakes than Arkansas strength in the end
18 Kentucky Wildcats No movement
19 Wake Forest Demon Deacons No movement
20 Pittsburgh Panthers No movement
21 Texas Longhorns No movement
22 BYU Cougars No movement
23 NC State Wolfpack This game would have been lost if ECU had a kicker. They need to show strength against CSU to stay in top 25
24 Clemson Tigers The second half makes the game look much less close than it was. This offense is BAD. Defense to be determined since GT is not a good barometer but right now Clemson is just Orange Iowa
25 Iowa Hawkeyes The pace of Iowas offense is best described as glacial
