Alabama is Alabama, I don't know what more you want me to say. Why they at #1? Because they showed exactly how good they are at all phases of the game, and didn't do anything to show they didn't deserve to be #1. Roundabout reasoning, but it's mine. |

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia is Georgia, I don't know what more you want me to say. They humiliated a very solid Oregon squad in Atlanta and did it in the most convincing way possible. The air attack was excellent, and the Georgia defense made the Duck's offense look comical. Georgia is still the most athletic team in college football, and it is very little that's going to get in the way of Georgia football this season. |

Well....the defense is better. That's what I'm choosing to take out of this game. If the defense plays this well than they'll win a national title to compliment their offense. The offense looked out of rhythm the whole night. JSN went down early so that hurt, and some young WRs stepped up. But separation down field was rare and the running game was spotty. Let's talk on September 25th. |

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

That could've gone much much worse. ND gave themselves a fighting chance in this game, when most people thought they'd get crushed. The offense wasn't good but....it's week 1 with a new QB. However the defense was spectacular against a unit many think is the best in CFB. If they get that kind of effort all year than Notre Dame is a playoff team. If any case the September 24th game vs UNC is must-watch TV. |
