Euphoric_Relative_13 9 You know what, fuck it, it's my poll! I don't have to refrain from punishing an SEC team for losing its conference championship game, and then punishing the team that lost to them! Miami to the top 10!

TaylorLeprechaun 10 +2 - Miami: I've consistently felt unimpressed watching them play. I know I'm a Florida fan so there's going to be some element of bias here, but there's no reason this team shouldn't have performed better than they did this season and if not for some bad, head-scratching losses, they'd be a lock as well (and probably ACC champion). I know they have the head-to-head over Notre Dame, but I don't take much stock in a 3-point, last-second, home win in the very first game of the season as the absolute deciding factor. When I look at the body of work as a whole, I feel Notre Dame is the better team and should be ranked higher (which I've done for the last six or so weeks).

MainPeanut25 12 Most people are happy that Miami is in the playoffs, but the only reason they’re in is because the ACC couldn’t be left out entirely. Why else would they suddenly change their mind this week when neither of them played?

thatoneguyD13 8 Tier 3. Two unranked losses, but wins over #9 and #24.
_THE__BOULDER_ 9 Second two-loss team on the list. Both the teams they lost to were over .500 (both Louisville and SMU ended up 8-4) and are not bad teams, but worse than Oklahoma or Notre Dame's losses for sure. That being said, they have a head to head win over ND AND a better result against the same opponent (Pitt) so I gotta give the edge to Miami. A lot of people may say ND is the hotter team right now, which is probably true since they've won 10 straight games, but I feel like I'm obligated to rank the teams based on the season overall, not who has the hot hand late. Miami is on a 4 game win streak, however, so I don't think they're exactly cold. A big problem with this controversy is the tiebreaker system in the ACC. Miami, despite their two losses, is still one of the ACC's best teams. The ACC itself is bloated and the tiebreaker system they have in place is dumb. It's fun that two G5/6 teams will be in the playoff, but the ACC is a big reason this controversy is taking place, not to mention the playoff committee's mistakes in rankings over the past 4 weeks or so.

LightningDusty 13 = FIRST TEAM OUT I really believe those losses to middling 8-4 Louisville and SMU should've punished you more, but oh well. Honestly, the ACC's wonky ass way of determining it's CCG representatives contributed to this mess. Miami is either going to stab TAMU through the heart and prove me wrong or I'll be vindicated when Carson Beck throws five interceptions and they get blown out.
