ad51603 Ballot for 2026 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 8, 2026, 1 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Obviously results matter most. But if a high ranked team won against an inferior opponent but looked bad doing it, they will be penalized (Michigan).

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Did nothing to drop. Took care of business.
Georgia Bulldogs See Ohio State
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Struggled in the first half but pulled away and looked dominant in the 2nd.
Texas Longhorns Demolished a decent Texas State team
Oregon Ducks Struggled the whole game against Boise State. Didn't drop them too much though, Boise is one of the best G6 squads.
Indiana Hoosiers Struggled in the first half, got it together after half.
Miami Hurricanes Dominated with Heisman numbers from Mensah and Toney.
LSU Tigers Absolutely demolished Clemson. They look for real.
Texas A&M Aggies Took care of business.
Ole Miss Rebels See Texas A&M.
Oklahoma Sooners See above two
Alabama Crimson Tide See above three
BYU Cougars You know the drill by know
Texas Tech Red Raiders Struggled more than I thought they would. ACU can be solid sometimes but this is a team they should be beating by more than 23.
USC Trojans Took care of business.
Penn State Nittany Lions See above
SMU Mustangs Picked up a road win in a great game against a Florida State squad with a lot of questions. Still think the win boosts their resume enough to put them over Washington.
Washington Huskies Rivalry games are weird, but this shouldn't have been close. That being said, Washington State might not be that bad this year.
Tennessee Volunteers Beat up a team they should be beating up.
Utah Utes Honestly contemplated moving them up, but it seems like Idaho isn't as good as previous seasons, so I just left them here.
Iowa Hawkeyes Took care of business. They still don't have a quarterback though.
Houston Cougars Struggled for 75% of the game against an Oregon State team that seems much better. Don't think it warrants a penalty.
Missouri Tigers Took care of business. Big rivalry game against Kansas this week.
Louisville Cardinals The definition of a "quality loss". Turned the game off when they went down 14 and was shocked to find that they lost on a field goal.
Western Michigan Broncos Outplayed Michigan the entire game and lost on a questionable play; I think it was the correct call, but I'm going to bump WMU up because they were the better team the whole game.
