Klightgrove Ballot for 2026 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 8, 2026, 10:52 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Basing on my pre-season rankings and seeing performance. Only a handful of teams played 'challenging' games so not much movement. 20-25 is a major tossup that will become more clear later on.

Rank Team Reason
Indiana Hoosiers Hoover bled for this win. Incredible accuracy and putting up points against a solid American team.
Oregon Ducks Boise always gives it their all against Oregon, signaling they might be a contender for the PAC-12.
Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State knows ball.
Texas Longhorns Arch has his act together and could be devestating in SEC play this season.
Georgia Bulldogs They ran over a FCS team, with Gunner gunning down the field.
Alabama Crimson Tide Keelon struggled with the passing game but Alabama ran all over ECU.
Ole Miss Rebels Hard to say if Louisville is this good but the Ole Miss defense has their work cut out for them down the road.
USC Trojans The trojans smoked 2 G6 teams back-to-back, ironing out defensive issues from week 0, but they have one of the toughest schedules remaining starting in week 4.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Solid win over Wisconsin, one of the more 'challenging' opponents that T25 teams went up against since it's at least P4.
Oklahoma Sooners Big play Zay really did UTEP dirty, Oklahoma is back and loaded.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Major offensive struggles plagued TTU as they could not finish drives but still put up yards.
Miami Hurricanes Can't wait to see who in the ACC can challenge Miami this season.
LSU Tigers Imagine if they had pros.
Texas A&M Aggies Ran all over Missouri State, not sure what takeaways we can pull.
Utah Utes Vandalism.
Penn State Nittany Lions Solid opening game against a G6 team, but PSU won't be challenged for several more weeks. Should give Matt Campbell ample time to develop his players and get ready for PSU's bounce back.
Tennessee Volunteers Don't really have anything here.
Washington Huskies Starting off the season with a rivalry game always feels weird since neither team is truly set or has stakes on the lines, but Washington stepped up. I don't blame a team for struggles against a rival but the 3 turnovers really gave them a helping hand for a game that truly only wrapped up in the 4th.
BYU Cougars 4 turnovers is crazy but Utah Tech had not scored this year after getting routed in week 0.
Iowa Hawkeyes Iowa is wild this season. Whole lotta offense to dish out versus Iowa State next week.
Virginia Tech Hokies James Franklin shows he's back with a high scoring offense, which he will need the latter half of the season.
Louisville Cardinals Really close game against Ole Miss put them into this poll, they could possibly win out the ACC if they keep up this performance.
SMU Mustangs Many sloppy mistakes but they proved they have the talent if they can get everything together. After next week at UC Davis they will be put to the test against Louisville before having to face a slate of solid teams that they cannot make any mistakes against.
Memphis Tigers Kapow, Owens had a hot start including an impressive win over UNLV in week 0.
Boise State Broncos Their close matchup against Oregon shows the potential the Broncos have this season and they could be a contender, but it's still too early to say.
