Overall Rationale: Early season polls are weird. My poll is a resume based ranking of a team's quality of wins to date. It is not forward looking and individual rankings should not be interpreted as the higher ranked teams will always beat lower ranked ones, but instead gives credit a team's performance in who they beat and how. This means that the start of the season will have a large amount of variability and teams have the ability to make large moves up and down the rankings, but this tends to normalize as the season goes on and more data points are collected. A couple principles I believe in is that there is no such thing as a "quality loss" and all losses should hurt the resume of that team. Instead, the collection of wins is weighed against other teams to see who has accomplished the most with some room for interpretation by myself.
