Ballot Type: Human
Submitted: Sept. 25, 2022, 8:56 a.m.
Overall Rationale: Re-rack every week. No poll inertia. H2H matters, did they execute their gameplan well, do I believe in their QB, do I believe in their head coach, etc.

Costly fumbles and a young CB getting beat deep kept this game more interesting than it should have been, but elite is still elite and at the end of the day that showed out. |

The only other team I considered for the #1 slot, dismantling Wisconsin was impressive. The only thing keeping me from it is that Georgia's manhandling of Oregon looks better every week. |

Played Vandy. Eh. |

The defense is still a major concern, but MAN...that offense. |

In their first taste of real competition against Maryland they were tested. I look forward to that continuing. |

The benefactors of a bye and some mediocre play from teams I had ranked ahead of them, OSU benefits from my taking into account senior leaderships, QB trust, and coach trust. For now. |

Took care of business against a MAC opponent. |

Washington is steadily impressing and the effort to turn the ship around has been nothing short of astounding. |

It's a good thing not many people watched that Oregon State game. You might have come away with the notion that neither team was as good as advertised. Points for the defense bailing the offense out on a Lincoln Riley team for once, but they slip a bit. |

Nobody has skyrocketed to me like Goldy. This team is DEEP, has impressive leadership in the locker room, and will be a tough out for anyone. PJ Fleck is still weird though. |

*Dory voice* EHHH-SCAPEEEEHHH. Wake is a good team, but it's still nearly impossible to figure out just how elite this Clemson team is, despite the obvious talent on the roster. Boils down largely to the QB and questions in the secondary. |

Kentucky likes to play with their food too much, which is why they've tumbled from #4 in my ballot. Playing more meaningful SEC games soon should give us a better gauge of their ability. |

It seems like they've finally turned the corner from the Week 1 scare at ECU. We'll see how they truly stack up in the coming weeks against some of the ACC's best (and Virginia Tech) |

Really thought the Cougs were gonna hold on this week. Good on the Ducks for hunkering down for that comeback. Helping Georgia as much as themselves. |

Boring week but still a good team. Will be tested in the SEC West soon. |

The Utes are slowly but surely clawing their way back up after the season-opener. Plenty of room left to go. |

Despite their best efforts, the Orange keep winning games. They have a very underrated roster capable of beating any ACC opponent. They can also lose to anyone, but we'll see. I'm riding with Otto a little longer. NC St, Clemson, ND, Pitt, FSU, and Wake line up in a row after their FCS game next week. Go 4-2 against that lineup and they'll be playing in a nice bowl game. We'll see. |

I swear to god y'all better rank the Jayhawks and sit Jalon Daniels next to Stroud and the Mailman in New York. He is him. Rock mf Chalk. |

I'm still shaky on the Cougs, but as of now they will warrant a spot in the rankings. Beat Baylor. |

I'm still shaky on the Bears, but as of now they still warrant a spot in the rankings. |

The Dukes have burst on to the scene in their first season in FBS. Only 3 games thus far, but a 28-3 comeback against an App State team I had ranked on top of a 44-7 slaughter of the MTSU team that laid a beatdown on Miami is a resume that I'll take a chance on here. |

It's been awhile since I've bought in to a Florida State team, but there's enough playmakers on this roster to make some noise. |

The Tennessee loss looks better in hindsight, but there's a long way to go. |

Dropping out last week, the Cats find themselves back after doing what they've become accustomed to doing: Beating OU in Norman. |
25 |

OU is still good. They can't beat K-State though. Also considered at 25 in no particular order: Oregon State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Texas Tech, LSU, Washington St. |
