1 Georgia Bulldogs They look the part of a number 1 team. Beating what turned out to be a solid Oregon team (after seeing them against BYU) like they were an FCS school looks even better.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes Very talented team and has handled business. Not much more to say
3 Alabama Crimson Tide I think the close win against Texas dings them compared to Ohio State.
4 Oklahoma Sooners Compared to how last year's team had Houdini acts, Venables taking care of business in non conference is a marked improvemet
5 Michigan Wolverines Soft schedule for sure, but they did what you should expect them to do. Still rank below Oklahoma since Oklahoma did go on the road to face a P5 opponent even if said opponent was Nebraska.
6 Clemson Tigers Still a strong defense, but the offense worries me enough to put them below the others
7 USC Trojans They really look competent and the offense is explosive enough
8 Kentucky Wildcats Strong looking team, and you have to give them credit for taking the winds out of the sails of Florida
9 Tennessee Volunteers Offense is electric, they took care of business vs the cupcakes and getting a road ranked win is huge
10 Penn State Nittany Lions They look solid, and you have to give them credit for blasting Auburn in Jordan-Hare which is historically a tough place to play.
11 Oklahoma State Cowboys Solid looking team, resume is still quite lacking though.
12 Washington Huskies They look very good, especially with Penix. Blasting Michigan State the way they did is a good look.
13 Arkansas Razorbacks Solid looking team, but you have to rate them this low because of their bumpy motorcycle ride against Missouri State.
14 NC State Wolfpack
15 Oregon Ducks Huge win against BYU to say the least. Should fare a lot better playing teams that aren't literally Georgia.
16 Minnesota Golden Gophers Really solid looking team that's handled business. I'm high on them.
17 Wake Forest Demon Deacons
18 Ole Miss Rebels
19 Pittsburgh Panthers
20 Syracuse Orange Undefeated, and I give them credit for blasting Louisville who beat UCF and who FSU struggled with.
21 BYU Cougars
22 Baylor Bears
23 Florida Gators May not be for long after the USF game. But still the Utah win looks good and you can't punish them for a top ten Kentucky being their only loss even if USF should have pulled it out last night.
24 Utah Utes Still looks the part of a top 25 team. But with so few data points, despite Florida looking ugly the last two weeks you still have to give the head to head tiebreaker to Florida
