Overall Rationale: Human poll relying mostly on Resume, SoS, and MoV. Eye-test used sparingly, and usually only in situations with similar bodies of work for the season.

4 Alabama Crimson Tide I was already high on Texas, and they did win, so im not dropping them out of top 4. Uncharacteristic penalties that are unlikely to show up much more often, but they still happened. If Texas wasnt quite good, they would have dropped lower.
5 Oklahoma Sooners
6 Clemson Tigers Concerned about DJ U, need more data points to accurately place.
7 BYU Cougars I was high on Baylor, so maybe this is slightly too high for BYU, but Hall has good numbers and the defense played excellently.
8 Kentucky Wildcats This defense seems Georgia-lite, meant as a complement. Need more data points.
9 Michigan State Spartans
10 Oklahoma State Cowboys
11 Arkansas Razorbacks
12 USC Trojans Offense looks phenomenal, mildly worried about defense. I might have USC too low. If they continue winning they will probably rise faster than other teams who continue winning.
13 Wake Forest Demon Deacons High compared to other peoples opinions, but I truly think theyre a sleeper in the ACC.
14 Tennessee Volunteers Close win over a decent Pitt program, im unsure of this placement and future results will probably have a larger than average effect on placement if they lose.
15 Texas Longhorns Un-ironic quality loss, the resume dictates they should be lower, but watching the game dictates they should be higher. Personally think the Refs weren't playing favorites, but that they still messed up, and Texas very much could have won this game, "should" only slightly less.
16 Ole Miss Rebels Im high on Lane Kiffin, unsure about Dart. Need a game against a good team to accurately place.
17 NC State Wolfpack
18 Miami Hurricanes
19 Florida Gators Kentucky might just be that good, but Richardson really needs to be able to attack through the air.
20 Utah Utes I might be biased in thinking Utah should be higher, but they did lose to Florida. Results>My opinion in non-Texas cases.
21 Baylor Bears Close loss to a very good BYU team. I refuse to drop them out of the top 25, and they should probably be higher.
22 Minnesota Golden Gophers Im high on Minnesota, and I believe conference play will prove that they should be higher than 22.
23 Mississippi State Bulldogs
24 Pittsburgh Panthers
25 Oregon State Beavers Close win against Fresno State, who I believe will be a good team this year.
