11 Ole Miss Rebels 19.6, +0.2, -3, 25.9 (10th), 13.4 (19th). Their drop this week is due to the success of others, not a fault of their own.
12 USC Trojans 19.3, +3.7, +7, 24.8 (13th), 14.9 (16th). A solid home win moves the Trojans back in the top 15.
13 Michigan Wolverines 18.5, -4.7, -7, 21.7 (16th), 14.4 (17th). Their strength of schedule suffered massively this week, with Maryland and Iowa both losing. And then they had to play Indiana.
14 UCLA Bruins 18.5, -0.4, -3, 27.6 (9th), 10.6 (30th). The model has not ranked Utah since their loss to Florida, so UCLA’s win over them was only almost enough to counter the strength of schedule hit from Washington’s loss this week.
15 James Madison Dukes 18.3, +0.8, -3, 22.1 (15th), 17.2 (12th). Again, their drop is due to the success of others, not a fault of their own.
16 Syracuse Orange 18.3, +3.9, +7, 28.2 (7th), 11.2 (28th). Their rise during a bye week is due to a strength of schedule boost from Purdue’s win, as well as aELO counting for 90% of the composite this week versus 75% the previous week.
17 Texas Longhorns 17.1, +1.1, -, 12.5 (28th), 20.6 (6th). Their two losses continue to hold them back, but they are now 6th in margin of victory after a dominant performance against now-50th-ranked Oklahoma.
18 Mississippi State Bulldogs 16.6, -0.4, -2, 16.2 (20th), 17.3 (11th). The model expected them to beat Arkansas, so they only almost countered the strength of schedule hit from LSU’s massive loss.
19 Florida State Seminoles 16.2, -0.8, -4, 16.2 (21st), 17.7 (9th). Their margin of victory aELO actually improved due to a close loss against now-10th-ranked NC State, so they only dropped a few places.
20 Kansas Jayhawks 15.8, -1.5, -7, 21.2 (17th), 12.6 (22nd). Their first loss comes as a one-score loss to now-3rd-ranked TCU, so they remain in the rankings.
21 LSU Tigers 15.5, -3.6, -11, 15.4 (23rd), 12.6 (22nd). With a blowout loss to now-#5, a win against now-#18, and a 1-point loss to now-#19, LSU drops significantly this week but stays ranked.
22 Oregon Ducks 15.4, +0.0, -1, 17.9 (18th), 12.9 (20th). The Ducks did exactly what was expected of them against Arizona.
23 Kansas State Wildcats 14.7, +0.2, -1, 17.3 (19th), 12.8 (21st). K-State maintains with a close road win over Iowa State.
24 Purdue Boilermakers 12.1, NR, 12.6 (27th), 11.8 (23rd). With a gulf between #23 and #24, Purdue’s road win over Maryland earns them a ranking for the first time this year. Their two losses are one-score affairs against now-#9 and now-#16.
25 Tulane Green Wave 11.7, NR, 13.9 (25th), 10.6 (29th). The Green Wave are now 5-1, with a win over now-#23 Kansas State. Honorable Mention: Texas Tech 11.3
