Hey_Its_Roomie Ballot for 2022 Week 4

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Sept. 19, 2022, 10:03 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Poll is still stuffed to the gills of undefeated teams. All programs are 3-0, which is a bit surprising I think by this point in the year. I'm still higher up as one of the most controversial, but we are starting to see everything normalize. Numbers and expectations are starting to align more closely together, so controversial value should be going down pretty heavily. Next week should will probably cause some erratic movement though as undefeated teams continue to face off, and teams will start getting rewarded for playing against ranked opponents (top 45).

Rank Team Reason
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Wake Forest and NC State are the only two programs whose opponents are undefeated outside of their games. WF opponents are 5-0 outside of WF matchups, and NC State's are 4-0. NC State does have half of a possession lead over WF in average MOV but it does not seem to be influential enough, as well as considering NC State's schedule as slightly softer so far.
NC State Wolfpack
USC Trojans
Georgia Bulldogs Dominating in the average MOV, but opponents have come across as weaker than the top (75% win rate)
Alabama Crimson Tide
Ohio State Buckeyes
Penn State Nittany Lions
Iowa State Cyclones
Kentucky Wildcats
Tulane Green Wave
Oregon State Beavers
UCLA Bruins
Arkansas Razorbacks
Washington Huskies
Ole Miss Rebels
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Clemson Tigers
Florida State Seminoles
Duke Blue Devils
Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Syracuse Orange
Maryland Terrapins
North Carolina Tar Heels
Washington State Cougars A surprise team to come out of nowhere to me. Via intrigued to watch them through the rest of the season.
Oklahoma Sooners Sneaking in at 25th. Strong MOV rate, but against one of the weaker opponent win% through the undefeated teams at 38%. Notable exclusions from fan's interest include MICHIGAN (25% OW%), KANSAS (1 OT win, 50% OW%), TENNESSEE (1 OT win, 67% OW%)
