TommyTwoTaps Ballot for 2022 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2022, 8:10 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Based on watching and breaking down games for the past week, strength of victories. 26-30: Texas, Oregon State, Washington State, Florida State, Kansas

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs They got better from last year, incredible
Alabama Crimson Tide It felt like they played UL Monroe every year, but they don't. Nothing else to add on this game.
Ohio State Buckeyes Excited to see them play Wisconsin in prime time and they look compared to the ND game.
Clemson Tigers First test this week against Wake. Will be focused on how DJ plays against Wakes defense
Michigan Wolverines I don't think Maryland will be a big test, but this will be the first real opponent for UM this week. Will be keeping a close eye on QB play
Oklahoma Sooners Nebraska still has talent on their roster, so the lopsided win is still impressive. Defense has shined brighter than the offense so far in my eyes.
USC Trojans Took care of business as they should. Oregon State could pose a challenge this week on the road, but a dominant performance would cement them as a legit CFP threat to me.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Nothing on their game this week, I think they're really good on offense but the defense has yet to be tested by a top team
Arkansas Razorbacks Not the greatest start to say the least, but finished strong. Pass defense is worrisome after this one.
Kentucky Wildcats Nothing new to really add. Bet the over this week.
Tennessee Volunteers Poor Akron... Looking forward to this weeks matchup. A win is needed as they begin a tough three-game stretch. Will be interesting to see where they stand after the next 6 games too.
NC State Wolfpack Took care of business despite a not so great offensive performance. Defense was very good
Utah Utes Another strong performance, like it should be against a much lesser opponent.
Oregon Ducks Oregon's demise was greatly underestimated. Never thought a loss to UGA, regardless of how lopsided, deserved the drop they received. Played well all around against a good BYU team.
Penn State Nittany Lions Very impressive win. Not sure how good Auburn really is, but winning on the road by this commanding of a margin is nothing to scoff at.
Baylor Bears Sneaky game against ISU this week before the big one against OK ST. Looked good though
Florida Gators Thought about dropping them after a very poor game, but it happens. A loss to Tennessee will likely result in falling out... AR has been very bad the past two weeks so this will be a massive road test.
Pittsburgh Panthers Likely won't be a lot of big movements from the Panthers in the coming weeks (unless they lose) as the schedule shouldn't be too difficult for them.
Washington Huskies Really solid and complete win against MSU. Stanford this week and UCLA after could be tricky, but liking what I see so far.
Michigan State Spartans I don't understand dropping them as far the AP did or the Coaches, if Washington is the #18 in the AP then Michigan Stat should still be ranked. A loss to Minnesota would change that.
Texas A&M Aggies Back in my top 25 after falling out last week. Didn't wow me against Miami, but beating a ranked team brings them back in.
Miami Hurricanes A big drop from last week sure, but this team still has had a strong start.
BYU Cougars The Cougars got a beat down, but I already had Oregon in the top25. Don't see them falling out anytime soon.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Its a drop largely due to the schedule played so far, didn't impress against Liberty either. This week will be the big test.
Cincinnati Bearcats I realize most will have Texas in over Cincy, but I still feel this team is a serious threat for the G5 NY6 bowl.
