Overall Rationale: Going by the good old fashion "Eye Test" for the most part.

1 Alabama Crimson Tide I mean, there's not a lot to say here. Bama is really really really good. Like every year. I expect them to be great this season.
2 Florida State Seminoles FSU finished their season well last year with a good bowl win.I expect Francios to take a huge leap forward and become the team leader. I have no doubts they can contend for a CFP position this season.
3 Ohio State Buckeyes Urban Meyer has a machine in this Buckeye team.They return a lot of guys, and I expect them to be challenging for a National Championship this year.
4 Clemson Tigers Clemson is losing a lot of guys from their amazing run last season, but I have no doubts that Dabo can have them right back in the hunt this season.
5 USC Trojans If THE Darnold is really good as he looked late last season the Trojans are going to be a force this season. USC always has a ton of talent.
6 Oklahoma Sooners Baker Mayfield returning will be huge as the Sooners begin their first season under new HC Lincoln Riley.I expect the Defense to be much stronger this season, but OU will have some huge road games this season that will be tough.
7 Washington Huskies I expect the Huskies to be a tough out after the experience they gained in their magical run last season.
8 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State ended the season with a flury, they've got a really good returning QB, and a great coach. They have a lot of potential.
9 Oklahoma State Cowboys Oklahoma State will be an offensive juggernaut this season.Their only question marks are on the defensive side of the ball, but with as good as this offense is, don't be surprised if they are able to win every track meet they find themselves in.
10 Michigan Wolverines Michigan plays hard for Harbaugh. It's as simple as that.They've had some big time recruits come in, and it's time for them to step up. They came up just a bit short on a few occasions last year, but I see them winning the close ones this year.
11 Wisconsin Badgers I love the style of football the Badgers play. When they control the clock and run the ball at will they almost always come out on top. They are a great dark-horse pick for this upcoming season, I like the badgers a lot.
12 Auburn Tigers Auburn could be on to something this season, if they get steady QB play I expect them to be very good. 
13 Louisville Cardinals Returning a Heisman winner is always a really good thing. Jackson didn't finish the season like he wanted to, so I'm ready to see his revenge tour.
14 Stanford Cardinal Stanford is just so good year in and year out.. Hard to be against them being good again this season.
15 LSU Tigers LSU plays hard for Coach O, but it's hard not to, that guy is awesome. LSU could be real if they can get their offense to click.
16 Kansas State Wildcats Purple Wizard is going to coach until 2050 and I love it.KState is similar to a team like Stanford in that they are always solid and play a strategy that is hard to beat handily. They'll be in the mix in every game they play this season.
17 Georgia Bulldogs I could see Georgia winning the SEC East if their QB play is going to be as good as a lot of their fans feel it will be. The Dawgs will be improved this season.
18 Florida Gators McElwain may be a weird guy, but he could see himself atop the SEC East very easily this season. They open the season against a tough Michigan team.
19 West Virginia Mountaineers WVU is a fun team to watch, I expect their defense to win a few games for them in the Big 12 that maybe others don't see coming.
20 TCU Horned Frogs People are underrating the Frogs this season, and truth be told #20 may still be too low for them this season. 
21 Miami Hurricanes Hard for me to root against Coach Richt. They'll be good, they could sneak up on people this season.
22 Virginia Tech Hokies Virginia Tech has a great home environment, and along with that some really great fans. I like where their program is headed.
23 Washington State Cougars The Cougars have a great QB in Falk.I love their offensive scheme, they could be sneaky.
24 USF Bulls I love what the Bulls have going on. Strong was a great hire for them, and I think that team will play hard for him.
25 Texas Longhorns I think the Texas players will rally around their new coach Tom Herman. They have the talent already on campus.
