Coastal Carolina returned to their dominant ways this weekend. They beat up on UMass. Not a lot to say, they play in an easier conference so as long as they keep winning they'll stay firmly in this top 25.
Dominant win over a bad UMass side.  Didn't really learn anything we didn't already know.  CC going into Sun Belt play now where I don't imagine they'll lose many games.
Chanticleers are so fucking cool as a team name. That being said they played Buffalo close and Buffalo couldn't even beat Nebraska. In fact they got trounced by Nebraska. Even Illinois beat Nebraska. Illinois! They dropped 50+ on Umas which was cool though.
The Chanticleers were the only thing that made last season during COVID half-watchable. I love this underdog story out of Myrtle Beach. And right now they're the best team in the Carolinas, which is wild to think about. They're hamstrung by a weak schedule but they're also dropping 40+ on their opponents. There's always going to be a talent gap between them and the powerhouses but they're a very fun G5 team, even if the Teal Field is an eyesore.
