2 Texas Longhorns Still hasn’t beaten a ranked sec opponent but the win vs a&m is sweet and on to a chance to avenge their only loss, and a chance to win the SEC title year one in the SEC
3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame had a really good season and whipping on USC has only proved it. Unfortunately they need to join a conference to get a top four seed however a home playoff game isn’t that bad
4 SMU Mustangs SMU is probably the best team in the ACC despite playing in the American last year but let’s see what the committee will do if they lose next week or will SMU just shut everyone up by winning the ACC year one
5 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State has had a really good regular season by avoiding Michigan and Oregon despite the lost to Ohio State now they get to play in the Big Ten championship because Ohio State is unable to beat Michigan now let’s see if James Franklin can overcome the narrative
6 Boise State Broncos Boise State is underrated Jeanty should win the Heisman, however Colorado did clinch it for Travis Hunter with that game but if you’re asking who’s the best player in college football this year it’s clearly him because of how good he is despite being visibly injured and his offensive line being in the hospital
7 Georgia Bulldogs George is insanely lucky that Georgia Tech didn’t have a read option instead predetermined what they’re gonna run if there was a read they would’ve scored in the seventh and one but despite how horribly George played they’re probably still gonna win the SEC championship because Texas can’t show up
8 Ohio State Buckeyes Ryan Day has said “losing to Michigan is the second worst thing to happen to me. “ unfortunately for Ryan Day that streak’s gonna continue with the worst loss to Michigan of his tenure arguably of the entire history of the rivalry, but Ohio State’s inability to move the ball and inability to stop the run against a team that is unable to throw the football has proven that Ohio State really isn’t as top-tier of a program as they look. Now that they can’t win the Big Ten their seniors only hope is to win a playoff game to finally get an accomplishment in their four years.
9 Tennessee Volunteers For the first two minutes of the game Tennessee to imitate the Tennessee Titans, however hypo got their stuff together and they end up just cruising to an easy victory. Now Tennessee sitting pretty not having to play a championship game to get into a bite and can rest for the first round
10 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana good Purdue bad I just feel sorry for Purdue thankfully they fired their coach but back to Indiana. the Hoosiers have capped a great season with a dominating performance against the all be it a terrible horrible no good Purdue. now onto the playoffs
11 Arizona State Sun Devils Arizona State absolutely mauling Arizona in the territorial cup only proves that Arizona should be one of the top 12 teams in the country unfortunately they’re now gonna have to go improve that to the committee by winning the big 12 championship and they’ll still end up with the 12 seat but whoever has to pay them in the first row is not gonna be happy
12 South Carolina Gamecocks Sellers absolutely beat Clemson on his own the way he played that game the amount of times he just completely escape from everything Clemson did it only reinforces that really good season from the gamecocks now it’s time to hope and pray that enough teams lose for them to jump into the playoffs. If only they knew to throw stuff on the field to overturn bad calls.
13 Iowa State Cyclones Iowa State has had the best season in school history and if not for the fact that they wanna play every single game like they have a hospital sponsor they would be comfortably in the top 12 however giving your fans heart attacks lead you to be on the outside, looking at, but they do have everything to play with the help from BYU now let’s see if they can improve on 10 and go to 11
14 Alabama Crimson Tide If Alabama’s name was anyone else they would not be ranked however Boris has had a good first season as head coach if only he didn’t have to play on the road
15 Miami Hurricanes Mario really hates November and December and even more so hates cold. It feels like in Miami could start the season a month earlier they would do a whole lot better but the loss but seals their fate as being outside without a lot of help.
16 BYU Cougars it has been a really good season for BYU the Jewish quarterback, the defeat of Utah and everything else that went along. It’s just a shame that no one in the big 12 was elite and they don’t have that top-tier victory to be able to compete with the lack of the SEC in Big Ten.
17 Ole Miss Rebels Complaining that his team not getting into the playoffs despite losing to a really bad Kentucky team and with everything to play for losing to the Florida gators is like the pot called the kettle black. Ole Miss has proven to the committee and into anyone who’s watching all this game they do not deserve to be in the top 12 despite being able to beat anyone in the country.
18 UNLV Rebels Barry Odom has had a really good season at UNLV and a chance to avenge one of his two losses and make it into the playoffs. Let’s see if the running rebs can do it.
19 Clemson Tigers Rivalry games can be tough, but when your team can’t stop one player, you tend to fall. That’s what happened to Clemson. They couldn’t stop sellers so they can’t get into the playoffs except for the fact that Miami sucks so they can now win the ACC to make it.
20 Memphis Tigers Memphis going down to New Orleans on Thanksgiving day and defeating Tulane has proven that Memphis should be a top 20 team. Unfortunately, they don’t really have a shot at the playoffs, but Memphis should be proud of what they’ve accomplished this year.
21 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois is getting a bad shape because they’re in the big team if they’re in the SEC they’d be up there with South Carolina Ole Miss in Alabama but unfortunately they didn’t beat any of the good Big Ten teams so they’re down here. Mama has had a good season and hopefully they can build up upon this for next year
22 Army West Point I’m really tired a spectacular season unmatched since 2000 and they can cap it all by winning the American this week. Unironically, they might have become Notre Dame‘s best win.
23 Colorado Buffaloes Colorado sealed Travis hunters Heisman candidacy by absolutely forcing and targeting Travis to get as many stats as possible. Colorado and the team and more specifically Deon have really turned it around and have a legit argument to make that Deon could be one of the better coaches as they only wear a BYU lost away from the conference championship game
24 Missouri Tigers Missouri is fraudulent, but towards the end of this list, you’re really struggling to figure out who should be in and as much as I hate to admit it, the SEC is one of the best conferences, if not the best conference in the country and only having three losses
25 Syracuse Orange Syracuse has earned the spot by beating Miami. Kyle McCord leaving Ohio State was probably the best decision is at least he won this week and it’s not getting hate from Ohio State fans who only give a shit about the last week of the year.
