DarthYoda2594 Ballot for 2024 Week 15

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Dec. 1, 2024, 10:26 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Try to match efficiency metrics with quality of wins and losses. Basically an objective ranking, with an eye test tweak. Very very interesting week. I think there were some clear tier breaks in the rankings last week, so a couple of the losses (Ohio State, Miami) didn't really affect things too much. But all the teams just outside the top 25 won, so losses near the bottom (K-state, Tulane, A&M) were kind of enough to force them down 10+ spots. I know this is effectively the final ranking, but there could be massive changes in Bowl Season, provided most players show up for it. Last comment for the week is that the SEC bump I've been giving the 3 loss teams is pretty much out the window - SC/Clemson was a toss up, as expected, Georgia struggled (understatement) with GT, and Louisville waxed kentucky. The gap isn't as big as we thought. Dropped out: Texas A&M (16, harsh but I don't have another 4 loss team ranked and a lot of strong wins below them), Tulane (18, loss as double digit favorite), Kansas State (22, loss). New this week: Syracuse (22), Memphis (23), Illinois (25). Next few out, in order: Louisville, Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, Tulane, Kansas State, Baylor (special shoutout, what a turnaround).
