Dawg-Bite Ballot for 2023 Week 12

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 14, 2023, 12:03 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Resume, head 2 head, eye test, specific losses, personal opinion

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Best resume now and one of if not best based off eye test
Ohio State Buckeyes Slightly better resume than Michigan
Michigan Wolverines Dominant still and now have a marquee win to show for it without their HC
Washington Huskies Better overall resume than Florida State. They’ve beaten USC, #6 Oregon, #23 Arizona, and #17 Utah
Florida State Seminoles Only ranked win is over #15 LSU
Oregon Ducks
Texas Longhorns
Alabama Crimson Tide
Louisville Cardinals Lowest ranked 1 loss P5 cause they just had to move up with others losing
Missouri Tigers Mizzou’s performances in recent weeks just make me feel that personally they are a top 10 team and if weren’t for an LSU comeback they’d be in a situation to sneak into the top 4
Oregon State Beavers Have better wins than teams behind them but worse losses than Mizzou
Ole Miss Rebels Got eviscerated but they still have a better resume than Penn State
Penn State Nittany Lions No marqueee or good wins whatsoever. Their offense is anemic and their defense is the only reason they “hang around” with great/elite teams
Oklahoma Sooners Worst two loss P5 team due to their losses now looking worse. They may have a win over #7 but Oklahoma State and Kansas are not doing them favors
LSU Tigers All 3 of their losses are to top 15 teams and they have a top 10 road win. Plus, that offense is elite with possibly the best QB/player in college rn
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Good wins but Clemson loss keeps them behind LSU
Utah Utes Only lost to top 15 teams, but I just feel Notre Dame is better than them due to how they both played against USC (I know they transitive property doesn’t mean anything but I just feel this way as of now)
James Madison Dukes Imo the best G5 team as we speak and they benefit from upsets ahead of them
North Carolina Tar Heels More deserving than Tennessee with a decent win over Duke and another over Miami (FL)
Tennessee Volunteers While 2 of their losses are more forgivable than North Carolina’s, they still have the Florida loss and really haven’t beaten anyone of significance. Plus, Mizzou donkey stomped em
Liberty Flames Undefeated and I believe were uo 35-3 at half. They might have a weak schedule but they continue win
Tulane Green Wave Struggle win after struggle win after struggle win will make them move down as the season progresses unless they win like they are supposed to
Arizona Wildcats A top 10 win and have looked really good in recent weeks
Iowa Hawkeyes No offense, some defense, but dominated Rutgers and only have two losses
NC State Wolfpack I wanted to put a big 12 team but Oklahoma state has head 2 head over Kansas and Kansas State, and I’m not ranking Oklahoma State after a 45-3 L.
