RedBarracuda25 Ballot for 2023 Week 12

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 12, 2023, 5:33 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs The past two weeks have looked like the #1 team in football. Until the undefeated reigning national champs lose, I don't see any other ranking for them
Michigan Wolverines Finally got a "real" win to justify this ranking. No Harbaugh, scandals a plenty but UMich keeps rolling. Ignoring the baggage here, I'm just excited for the extra spicy Ohio State game which will likely be for a playoff spot
Washington Huskies I have no idea wether this defense is good or not, they seem to be very inconsistent. Offense always looks great for a quarter or two but then disappears. Best team in the country when it's all clicking, but when it's not...
Ohio State Buckeyes I feel like a win against Michigan St this year should count as a FCS win. Regardless, Ohio St has firmly circled the Michigan game on their calendar. Can they get over the M shaped hump they've encountered the past two years.
Florida State Seminoles Seminoles win another close one. I like all of the top five teams, but this is the one I feel the least confident about. The ACC seems a little weak, and they like to win close. The championship game against Louisville (probably) will be a good one
Oregon Ducks Bo Nix is the heisman favorite, and the ducks are having fun. This Oregon team is the best version of themselves, and looking dangerous for a championship rematch against Washington
Texas Longhorns Texas has managed to stave off disaster in the last few games, and their playoff hopes are still alive. Gonna need help, but a B12 championship would be a very good resume booster...
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama vs Georgia in the SEC championship game. It will be good to see if this Alabama has actually rebounded after the Texas loss or if the SEC is just having a down year.
Louisville Cardinals It's a fun time to be a cardinal. Did not see this team being at all this good, but that's CFB. That pitt loss looms large, but at this point the cards are just here to cause Chaos.
Oregon State Beavers The last hope of the pac2. Beat Oregon, Beat Washington and send the conference off with a middle finger. It's a mountain to climb, but one that would be remembered for a long time.
Missouri Tigers MIZZOOUUUUUUUUU. The third best team in the SEC is a very very very nice feather to have in your cap. That Georgia loss looks even better now. Hope they get a great bowl match
Penn State Nittany Lions The best of the rest. Do you fire a coach who can go 10-2 every year, but never wins the big games? Sure you'll never get over the hump, but at least you make it there in the first place. Tough question for PSU to answer.
Oklahoma Sooners both of Oklahoma's losses look worse (and one of them by A LOT) after this week. Still probably going to be a good year overall, but it certainly does not get easier after this season...
Ole Miss Rebels The Penn St of the SEC. Best of the rest. Lane is James Franklin but with offense and twitter born rivalries
James Madison Dukes Duck da NCCA.
Tulane Green Wave The Green Wave escape another one. It's gonna come down to the wire between them and Liberty for the G5 championship
Utah Utes The offense randomly decided it doesn't suck in time for the defense to decide it does. Then they remembered how Utah football is played after the second half. A what if year for sure for the Utes
Liberty Flames Yeah they've played cupcakes but I have to respect the record. That's why we play the games
LSU Tigers If only their defense wasn't literally air. Jayden Daniels looks like he's gonna be a star in the NFL, but his Swiss cheese defense is gonna keep him from a heisman. Actually probably a piece of Swiss cheese would be more effective
Arizona Wildcats I didn't believe in this team and that's my fault. Arizona is legit, go wild wildcats
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Nice win against the bye week. Freeman has to step it up next year though. The fact I can't answer wether he's a good coach or not should be answer enough
North Carolina Tar Heels If only the season ended at Week 7. Tar Heels win the collapsing NC team bowl in double OT and keep their ranking for another week and their hopes of an ACC title game
Kansas Jayhawks I think that Texas Tech is really underrated (almost beat Oregon), so I'm not killing the Jayhawks for this. This is still a good football team, and I'm excited for them in a post-TX and Oklahoma B12
Iowa Hawkeyes Sicko's ball lives on and is back in my poll. Iowa should play in the B10 championship game for the sole reason of seeing if they can bring Ohio St or Michigan down to their level.
Toledo Rockets Heavy debate between them and Kansas St, but I think the rockets deserve some respect for the season they're having.
