Overall Rationale: My rankings are derived from an algorithm that I've created and maintained for over a decade. I love college sports and I'm a math nerd, so this has been a little passion project for me. My rankings are completely objective, based on results only. No bias for teams, conferences, divisions, etc. I do not take into account margin of victor, nor injuries. My rankings are an objective measure of accomplishment (I do not factor any subjectivity/eye test). SoS and SoR are a calculated OUTPUT of my rankings, not an input.

Rank Team Reason
1 Ohio State Buckeyes I feel that with my flair I need to justify the Buckeyes being ranked #1. As I mentioned in my methodology, my rankings are based solely on the results on the field. While Ohio State has not looked like the most dominate team in the country, they have the most impressive body of work thus far (rating: 127.47). Top wins include #10 Penn St, #20 ND, and #34 Rutgers.
2 Washington Huskies rating: 121.25
3 Alabama Crimson Tide
4 Florida State Seminoles
5 Texas Longhorns
6 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia being ranked this low might surprise some. However, they got their first win against a top-40 program this week against #14 Missouri (and climbed 5 spots from 11th last week).
7 Ole Miss Rebels
8 Michigan Wolverines
9 James Madison Dukes With wins over #18 Troy, #39 Georgia St, and #44 Georgia Southern, the accomplishment of James Madison result in them being ranked at #9 this week (down 2 spots from last week). I suspect James Madison will continue to fall in my rankings even if they keep winning due to other schools passing them down the stretch with higher ranked competition.
