Player_1_has_Joined Ballot for 2023 Week 11

Ballot Type: Computer

Submitted: Nov. 5, 2023, 11:16 a.m.

Overall Rationale: My computer ballot attempts to predict how the CFP committee will make their selections. It starts as a strict power ranking and over the course of the season, it weights resume more heavily. If you want to exclude James Madison because they aren't eligible for the CFP, then Iowa moves in at the bottom as they are 26. Nothing super major to note. Top 10 continues to be a bit wonky as my model hasn't been able to really separate these teams most of the season. Every week it feels like the same teams bounce around in the top 10. Oklahoma has fallen out though and for the first time this year my top 2 have been the same in consecutive weeks. Ohio State and Florida State may have cemented themselves here for the rest of the year barring any losses. (Probably not knowing how college football never seems to go exactly according to plan). Additionally, I thought Oklahoma State would jump up higher on the ballot but their blow out loss to South Alabama is still holding them back as it has really negatively affected both their power rating and resume. Had they won that game even by 1 point, we would be looking at a top 15 or possibly even top 10 OSU.
