Overall Rationale: Head to head wind matter a lot, and is the most commonly used tie breaker. Everyone outside the top 9 was harder to rank.

3 Michigan Wolverines They played a very bad game against TCU, but the rest of their body of work is impressive, and yhry handily beat Ohio St 45-23 at Ohio St. There can be literally no
4 Ohio State Buckeyes While the argument, if solely in a vacuum and totally ignoring the regular season, is valid that as Ohio St nearly beat Georgia and TCU was demolished in the NCG, we do not ignore the regular season and only look at the 10 days from 11/31/22 to the NCG. They still lost their playoff game, and also lost at home. Against Michigan. 45-23. I saw the Georgia game moreso as CJ Cloud going off on a Georgia team that may have been looking to far ahead after TCU beat Michigan.
5 Tennessee Volunteers They beat Alabama, both have only lost to teams in the top 25, and while Alabama only lost both games by a combined 4 pts, they were also mich more sloppy. Their resumes are very very similar, but the H2H give the edge

7 Tulane Green Wave Tulane is surprising. Their loss to UCF got a little worse during bowl season, but their amazing comeback against USC gives them 2 top 15 wins
