Overall Rationale: Helluva year. I think my poll turned out as good as ever with some caveats. Being a hybrid, it's worth just taking a look at the CPU poll. I think it did pretty well, but there are also reasons why I want my input to help even things out. Just as a FYI my end poll is 2 parts CPU, 1 part AP, and 2 parts personal poll. CPU really liked what Tennessee did and wasn't a huge fan of TCUs work (hence why they made #3 instead of #2). The CPU had UT at #3 and TCU at #7. Not wild, outliers but it is what it is. The only other wild swings from the CPU was it had Troy at #9, FSU at #20, Washington at #23, and Texas at #17. Everything else seemed to fall in line or at least make sense. From my week 1 poll, 16 of the ranked teams finished unranked. Some fun ones were (sadly) Cincinnati at #5, ULL at #11, Iowa at #15, SDSU at #17. I ranked a total of 63 teams with Fresno St being the last new team (added after champ week). My top teams stayed pretty consistent though. Making an Unrannked week a rank of 30, UGA averaged a rank of 1.69, Bama at 5.06, Michigan at 3.19, OSU at 3.81, and Tennessee at 6.81. Been a good year, here's to next!
