Hey_Its_Roomie Ballot for 2022 Final

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Jan. 10, 2023, 10:03 a.m.

Overall Rationale: It should be noted that the intent of this poll is that the CFP championship or surrounding games are additional data points. They are not final determining factors if a team should be nth spot. My spreadsheet, and me individually, still assesses the whole body resume of the league in order to evaluate them.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Far and away the best team. Holistically, they were so strong they would have been #1 if the score against TCU was reversed.
Michigan Wolverines Comfortably behind Georgia, comfortably ahead of Ohio State. The only team to finish with 1 loss keeps them at second.
Ohio State Buckeyes Gaps start to close, but maintains a solid whole body ahead of TCU, Alabama
TCU Horned Frogs
Alabama Crimson Tide
Penn State Nittany Lions
Tennessee Volunteers By the spreadsheet, Tennessee and Penn State literally tied (to the hundreths of a point) which is very peculiar. I opted to be a homer, but also went with the preference for consistency rather than higher highs and lower lows. You can do a +1/-1 to the total rankings to see if they make a difference.
Tulane Green Wave
Washington Huskies
USC Trojans
Oregon Ducks
Troy Trojans Troy had the quietest season of such success this year. They played outstanding in what was no soft conference even if it wasn't the strongest. Definitely worth their recognition.
Clemson Tigers
Kansas State Wildcats
Oregon State Beavers
LSU Tigers Yes people are going to make remarks about LSU being ahead of Florida State. But the whole body showed LSU being comfortably ahead of FSU this deep into the rankings, and consequently I did not feel a 1-point victory warranted the flip against the whole body.
Florida State Seminoles
Utah Utes
UTSA Roadrunners
South Alabama Jaguars
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Texas Longhorns
Pittsburgh Panthers
UCLA Bruins
Mississippi State Bulldogs
