2 TCU Horned Frogs Beat a very good Michigan team, got blown out by UGA, but no one was beating UGA the way they played in this game
3 Michigan Wolverines Toss up between Michigan and OSU. Michigan beat OSU head to head, but OSU gave the champs a close game and had a chance to win
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Ultimately left OSU at 4 becasue of the head to head with Michigan
5 Alabama Crimson Tide Showed that they had a case for top 4, but based on how close the semis were, also showed that we didnt miss them
6 Penn State Nittany Lions After being relatively unproven this year, the Lions easily beat a very good Utah team
7 Washington Huskies Washington came to Texas and beat a decent when healthy Texas team in what was pretty much a road game for the Huskies
8 Tennessee Volunteers Some late upsets and injuries derailed what was a promising season for the Vols, still a very good season when you look back on it though
9 Tulane Green Wave A big bowl upset win proved that Tulane was legit and that USC would pay for not having a defense
10 Florida State Seminoles
11 Utah Utes A very good Utah team played competitvely against PSU until injuries caught up to them
12 Oregon State Beavers A sneaky good season for the Beavs
13 Kansas State Wildcats A good year, winning the Big-12, ultimately couldn't overcome a pissed off bama
14 Clemson Tigers An overrated team all year. Feasted on the weak ACC and couldnt compete with a legot contender after they ran their starting QB out of town
15 Oregon Ducks Barely sneaking out a win vs a weak UNC team was not very impressive
16 USC Trojans Another overrated team all year. Had a very good offense led by Caleb Williams, but no defense cost them down the stretch

20 Mississippi State Bulldogs Big win for Mike Leach's legacy. These guys played for him and earned that gritty win
21 UCLA Bruins Season started off promising, but they faltered down the stretch
22 Pittsburgh Panthers Season started off poorly, but they recovered in the end, winning a surprisingly fun Sun Bowl
23 Fresno State Bulldogs

25 South Carolina Gamecocks A decent team that could hang with most top teams on a good day
