JesusOfSurbaria Ballot for 2022 Week 14

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 28, 2022, 4:39 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Personal belief system

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Sluggest start against my very own Georgia Tech, yet proven to be top of the college football world at this moment.
Michigan Wolverines Much-needed win against rivals Ohio State, all but solidifies Michigan making the playoff for a second straight year.
TCU Horned Frogs A blow-out win against Iowa State gives TCU the reason for their #3 ranking.
USC Trojans All that's needed is a Pac-12 Conference Championship game against #6 Utah after a huge win against then #15 Notre Dame.
Ohio State Buckeyes Devasting blow-out loss for Ohio State all but certifies them missing out on yet another CFP.
Utah Utes Compared to Tennessee and Alabama, they have higher potential to be spoilers in this Pac-12 CG.
Tennessee Volunteers Blow-out win against Vanderbilt not only knocks Vandy out of bowl contention, but gives the Volunteers a reason to stay in the top 10.
Alabama Crimson Tide A major blow-out win against Auburn keeps them in the top 10, but head-to-head against Tennessee has them lower.
Washington Huskies Struggled against Washington State until the fourth quarter, hense why they're so low on the list.
Penn State Nittany Lions Knocked Michigan State out of bowl contention, and remain a top 10 team by beating their opponents by a combined score of 165-40.
Kansas State Wildcats A chance to play spoiler to TCU in the Big 12 CG, and a heavy win against Kansas put them just outside the top 10.
Oregon State Beavers Upset win against #8 Oregon gives me a reason to keep them just outside the top 10. Perhaps a loss or two moves them up.
Tulane Green Wave It's time to give Tulane the respect they deserve, after beating #21 Cincinnati, and clinching home-field for the AAC CG.
Florida State Seminoles Barely survived Florida, but they have a better win then the rest of the top-25.
UCLA Bruins Like Florida State, struggled against a greatly worse team in California, however have a better win then the rest of the top-25.
Clemson Tigers Upset loss to South Carolina drops them out of the top 10, and down 10 spots. Knocks the ACC out of CFP contention.
Oregon Ducks Loss to major underdog #15 Oregon State, and the way they lost it makes me move them down to #17.
LSU Tigers Like Oregon and Clemson, disappointing loss to a disappointing program moves them down from #5, with the greatest fall of the top-25.
UCF Knights A chance to play spoiler against Tulane and knock them out of a NY6 bowl contention lies in the Knights' hands.
South Carolina Gamecocks Back-to-back top 10 wins as an unranked team for (possibly) the first time in NCAA history.
Texas Longhorns Early losses paved the way for the Longhorns ranking outside the top-20. However, they played respectable enough to garner top-25.
UTSA Roadrunners Give the Roadrunners some respect. Finishing 10-2 and going back to the C-USA CG after going 4-8 two years ago.
Troy Trojans From 5-7, to a Sun Belt CG appearance in an argubly more stacked Sun Belt then previous seasons, give the Trojans respect as well.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Knock #14 Ole Miss out of the rankings, and garnered enough respectibility to put above Notre Dame and move into the top-25.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish A loss to #5 USC after already being down in the rankings gives me a greater reason to drop them almost out of the rankings.
