nw____ Ballot for 2022 Week 14

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 27, 2022, 9:24 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs They’re really good. Giving them the edge over Michigan because of the way UGA won the Tennessee game.
Michigan Wolverines Demolished tOSU. Good grief.
TCU Horned Frogs Do I have to talk about them beating Iowa State? I mean, I enjoyed it, but there isn’t much to say really. They did what they should’ve.
USC Trojans Is the defense good enough to win it all? No, imo. Does every skill player on their offense run a 3.7 40yd dash? Maybe. Did they totally out class Green Iowa yesterday? Yes.
Tennessee Volunteers They aren’t the #5 team in the country right now, especially without Hooker. I believe H2H wins must matter (at least for teams with the same record), though, so they’re here— and to be clear, they’ve earned it.
Alabama Crimson Tide Not sure they’re actually the #6 team in the country but nobody else seems to want to be ranked in the top 10, so here we are.
Ohio State Buckeyes Total annihilation. Embarrassing performance. Because of the way they lost, I don’t think they deserve another shot at the CFP. They were completely steamrolled in the second half. The defense looked awful, the world’s greatest cast of WRs (and I’m not being facetious) couldn’t get open, and the offensive line faded. That just ain’t good enough. All said, though, they may still wind up with another shot at the CFP because, again, nobody seems to want to be ranked in the top 10.
Penn State Nittany Lions Somehow, some way, they’re still here as the best of the rest of the B1G 10 champs.
Washington Huskies Now that they’re back in my top 10, I am sure they’ll get smoked by a lesser opponent in their bowl game.
Tulane Green Wave This is a good team and, frankly, they’ve done more to earn a top 10 spot than some of these other jokers.
Kansas State Wildcats TCU had better be very careful.
Oregon State Beavers Amazing win for the Beavers. Took over that game and our physical’d Oregon in a way that hadn’t been done since they played UGA.
Oregon Ducks Still believe this is a very good team. Tough loss in Corvallis. I believe USC is thrilled to avoid them in the PAC-12 championship.
UCLA Bruins They’ll have their shot at revenge. Will they take it?
Utah Utes A very up and down year and yet here we are. Colorado tried their hardest. Maybe. Idk, it was hard to tell.
Clemson Tigers Woof. If DJ is back next year, I will not start this team in my top 10. Also, Beamer Ball works, even when you see it coming and have all week to prepare for it apparently.
Florida State Seminoles Refs almost got them. Refs didn’t get them in the end, though. That game was a thriller. This program is trending in the right direction.
Troy Trojans They keep winning. Arkansas State has the misfortune of being in their way last week.
UTSA Roadrunners What a comeback. I couldn’t believe it. This team knows how to win.
Sacramento State Hornets Nobody else wants to be here and this team deserves it.
LSU Tigers A&M?? Really? That offense?? Frankly, I almost dropped them out of the top-25 altogether for that garbage. What a joke.
South Dakota State Jackrabbits Nobody else wants to be here and this team deserves it.
South Carolina Gamecocks Two consecutive top 10 wins. Can’t ignore that. Maybe they’re just peaking at the right time??
Illinois Fighting Illini Bert’s boys just miss out on their chance at revenge. Thanks for giving us a much, much less interesting game, Purdue. Good lord. Hopefully the Spoilermakers show up and at least make it more interesting than Iowa did last year, which shouldn’t be hard.
South Alabama Jaguars At this point, with the number of wins they have, you’ve got to take notice IMO. Almost got UCLA earlier this season. They aren’t messing around.
