Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Alabama Crimson Tide | Win over Arkansas; picked it up since the Texas game. |
| Ohio State Buckeyes | Five very solid performances, including three against decent teams. |
| Georgia Bulldogs | Struggled the past two weeks, but blew out Oregon and South Carolina (and Samford, in case Florida was wondering how to do that). |
| Clemson Tigers | Wins over very strong Wake Forest and NC State teams. Team appears to have its magic back. |
| Oklahoma State Cowboys | Strong win over Baylor; look extremely good so far. |
| Michigan Wolverines | Decent wins over Maryland and Iowa; nothing particularly special, though. |
| USC Trojans | Decent win over Oregon State; similar to Michigan but without last year to back them up. |
| Tennessee Volunteers | Wins over Pitt and Florida; extremely strong offense. |
| Penn State Nittany Lions | Have done what they had to and looked good doing it; I have a strong feeling this week against Northwestern was a fluke. |
| Wake Forest Demon Deacons | Potent offense, strong win against Florida State, and their only loss comes against #5 Clemson in a shootout they should've won. |
| Utah Utes | Aside from a fluke week 1 loss to Florida, they've looked really good. Like, dash the hopes of every other Pac-12 team good. |
| Ole Miss Rebels | Kentucky ain't that good in my opinion, but they've won when they've needed to. |
| Oregon Ducks | Aside from the bad Georgia loss, this team has been rock solid, knocking off Washington State and BYU. |
| NC State Wolfpack | Similar to Wake Forest but without any too many impressive wins (their best is against Texas Tech) and a less close game against Clemson. |
| TCU Horned Frogs | Potent offense and totally destroyed Oklahoma (who I still have a lot of confidence in). |
| BYU Cougars | Win over Baylor is pretty impressive, but they've underwhelmed ever since. |
| Kentucky Wildcats | Serious struggles against Northern Illinois and Ole Miss; I refuse to accept that Florida is a good enough team to rank Kentucky highly. |
| Kansas State Wildcats | Very good offense and two good wins against Texas Tech and Oklahoma. The Tulane loss looks a lot like a fluke. |
| UCLA Bruins | Good offense and win against Washington, but their defense has been a bit questionable (giving up 31 points to South Alabama) and they haven't played anyone else |
| Kansas Jayhawks | ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK MOTHERFUCKERS |
| Mississippi State Bulldogs | Comfortable wins over every team they've faced, besides a very solid LSU squad. |
| Syracuse Orange | Undefeated, with a few decent wins. Just doing what they can. |
| Illinois Fighting Illini | Very good team with some blowout wins and a painful loss to Indiana, who had a horseshoe up their ass for the first three weeks of the season. |
| James Madison Dukes | Extremely solid team. It's a real shame that they aren't bowl eligible this year. That's a dumb rule for schools going up a tier. |
| Baylor Bears | Their only two losses are to very good BYU and Oklahoma State teams, and they kept it pretty close in both games. Mostly a gut feeling for this one. |
