Overall Rationale: Winning matters. Results of games matter. Miss State should not be ahead of LSU, they literally played and LSU won. LSU and FSU played, FSU won. FSU's loss is to a team higher ranked than any of the three. They all have the same record. FSU needs to be above LSU who needs to be above Miss State. In this case, these teams along with Minnesota and Washington were fringe cases all in that 25ish range, and the only one that came out of it was FSU. Utah's loss is BAD, and I've had them unranked for a while. That win over Oregon State is a good one, so they come in in the 20-25 range, but I have to see more before I'm ready to rank them higher. Tulane beat Kansas State, and that win looks better every week. Both of those two teams came away with big wins last week, so they move up together. I really wanted to get every undefeated team in here, but I couldn't justify Coastal Carolina with the schedule they played and not looking amazing while doing it. Pretty soon they're gonna have to be ranked, though, if they keep winning. UCLA took a big jump for me with that win over Washington that wasn't as close as the score indicated. Speaking of them, South Alabama's only loss is by 1 to UCLA..... Keeping my eye on USA.
