jibberishdhyukl Ballot for 2022 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 2, 2022, 3:44 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Watching games, flipping between channels, watching highlights, checking stat lines

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide All three of my top 3 teams have had games where they looked mortal, but Alabama's game against Texas seems tougher than OU vs. ND at home or Georgia @ Mizzou, so I'm more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt than the other two.
Ohio State Buckeyes Obliterated Rutgers
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia just squeaking by Mizzou was enough to drop them to 3 for me.
Clemson Tigers Solid win against a top 10 team.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Avenged last years Big 12 Championship loss against a solid Baylor team.
Michigan Wolverines Unimpressed with the opening schedule, don't think they're for real. Penn State will be a good test for both teams.
Ole Miss Rebels Good win against Kentucky with a fun finish.
Tennessee Volunteers Idle, no reason to drop or move up, got passed by Ole Miss because of their win against Kentucky
Penn State Nittany Lions I think they're the second best team in the B1G, but they'll have to prove it against Michigan
TCU Horned Frogs Great win against the Sooners, the Big 12 is going to be wild.
USC Trojans Don't have any wins against strong opposition to show that they are legit or deserving of a spot above some of the other teams.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Rebounding from the Clemson loss at undefeated FSU
Utah Utes After starting with a close loss in the Swamp, the Utes have looked really good. The PAC-12 is theirs to lose.
Kentucky Wildcats Quality loss at Ole Miss that came down to the wire and was decided on an illegal shift penalty.
NC State Wolfpack Tough loss in Death Valley, but have looked solid this year
Oregon Ducks Awful loss against Georgia, but a solid win over BYU is enough to rank them here
BYU Cougars Bad loss at Oregon and a couple of relatively close games against mediocre opposition, big game against the Irish in Las Vegas coming up.
Kansas Jayhawks Rock Chalk, Jayhawk
UCLA Bruins 5-0 with a win against a good Washington team
Kansas State Wildcats That Oklahoma win is looking a little less impressive, but 2-0 in the Big 12 is nothing to sneeze at.
Syracuse Orange Kansas has stolen the spotlight, but Syracuse is undefeated with 3 wins of Power 5 teams
Washington Huskies Loss to UCLA was disappointing, but I am a big fan of Michael Penix
Mississippi State Bulldogs Nice win against Texas A&M, but lost to a mediocre LSU team
Florida State Seminoles Loss to Wake Forest at home was tough, but they still have wins over LSU, Louisville, and BC. Good enough to stay top 25.
James Madison Dukes Undefeated so far in their first FBS season. First three out are Washington State, Cincinnati, and Coastal Carolina.
