Charlemagne42 Ballot for 2022 Week 6

Ballot Type: Computer

Submitted: Oct. 2, 2022, 3:03 a.m.

Overall Rationale: This is the first week of full Computer mode. I've left a list to round out the computer's top 40 in the comments for #25, just to illustrate how close to or far from ranked some additional teams are.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide 105.84
Penn State Nittany Lions 105.80
Ohio State Buckeyes 105.78
Georgia Bulldogs 105.70
Ole Miss Rebels 105.65
USC Trojans 105.62
UCLA Bruins 105.56
Syracuse Orange 105.54
Michigan Wolverines 105.52
Tennessee Volunteers 105.28 // All of the top 10 are extremely close together. I've never seen a grouping at the top this large or this close. Whenever the computer needs to use the tenths place for precision, it generally means it considers two teams equals. The hundredths place means it doesn't have enough information yet to make any kind of distinction.
Clemson Tigers 103
TCU Horned Frogs 100
Oklahoma State Cowboys 95
Kansas Jayhawks 92.3
LSU Tigers 92.1
Utah Utes 91.4
Maryland Terrapins 91.2
Minnesota Golden Gophers 91.0
Duke Blue Devils 90.9
Florida State Seminoles 90.4
NC State Wolfpack 90.0
Kansas State Wildcats 89.4
Baylor Bears 89.0 // Again, the continuum from #14 to #23 is separated by tenths. This is one of the largest and closest groupings I've ever seen it make - except for this week's top 10. However, unlike the top 10, the computer is making a distinction between the top and the bottom of this spread. It does not consider Baylor equal to Kansas,
Mississippi State Bulldogs 88
Texas Longhorns 87.4 //// 26. Purdue 87.2 || 27. Miami 86 || 28. James Madison 84 || 29. Washington 82 || 30. Washington State 81.3 || 31. Illinois 80.6 || 32. Kentucky 79 || 33. UCF 77 || 34. Oklahoma 74 || 35. Cincinnati 73.1 || 36. South Alabama 72.8 || 37. Pittsburgh 71.29 || 38. Tulane 71.28 || 39. Air Force 71.27 || 40. East Carolina 70.7
