Overall Rationale: Computer poll that ranks purely on results earned this season. Whereas many polls use eye tests/other metrics to rank teams, it takes into account many assumptions. Best example is when Notre Dame played Texas several years ago in a very close contested game. Many people, including me, thought that was a game between top 10 teams, in reality it was a competition between two teams that would struggle all season. In my poll, you only earn points by winning and by beating teams that have also won. As team gains more victories on the season, the value for beating that team increases.Right now Georgia beating Clemson or Oregon beating Ohio State is not worth all that much as it is only week 3. But assuming both Clemson and Ohio State perform at their historical level, those will be massive victories. Likewise Baylor beating Kansas is seen as very valuable this early, but as each week comes in and we get more data points (and if Kansas continues to lose) the value of that win diminishes.It usually takes 4-5 weeks for there to be enough data points for the weaker/stronger wins to emerge and for one loss teams to start to enter back into the top 25
