Ballot Type: Human
Submitted: Sept. 16, 2018, 2 p.m.
Overall Rationale: Dropped: USC, Utah, and Boise State. Primarily based on result of week 1 and 2 matches with rigor considered, talent and coaching experience, future schedule, projections of playoffs and conference champions, and polls of week one. Criteria expected to change when the CFP Poll hits, and will include teams under a first-year head coach as well as five-eight G5 teams (maybe as early as week six). Notre Dame, the outliers, and my projected champion/runner-up get the top 10 spots at least. Rebuttals against current AP Top 25 teams: No. 14 Mississippi State (I'm not sure if I can rank them with the first-year head coach, it seems to be going excellent. However, the match against Kentucky may say otherwise this week), No. 16 UCF (Again, yet another first-year head coach and their schedule seems to be weaker and less of a chance to win the American), No. 20 Oregon (OOC is trash, and this is coming from a SJSU undergraduate), No. 22 Texas A&M (I'll need to see more from this team. Was the performance against Clemson a fluke?), No. 24 Michigan State (lmao), and No. 25 BYU (It may be an overreaction at best).

Do I even need to explain? |

Ohio State looked very strong throughout the first three weeks of college football. They have what it takes to be CFP bound without Meyer, especially after the 12-point loss against TCU in a neutral-site game. The Buckeyes have better wins than Clemson. There are no deficiencies with this team, but the game at Penn State may decide who will represent the Big Ten east and probably the CFP spot. |

I can't say much considering the opponent was Georgia Southern. As mentioned before, their games hasn't really been top-notch. Clemson hasn't really been showing that they are CFP-bound. |

They were very ugly wins, but at least they were wins. I still think Notre Dame can go far mainly because of their schedule. Also, I think Vanderbilt is a much stronger team than people anticipated. |

I think an FCS win is better than literally nothing happening like West Virginia. Stanford's real test will begin at Oregon and at Notre Dame. Those matches will be awesome. |

That was a very nice win against Iowa State! Welcome to my top 6, Sooners! |

Although I can't blame the Mountaineers, I'm not sure where they are at considering the match against at NC State was canceled. Oklahoma had a win against a strong Iowa State team, so unfortunately I have to move them above for now. |

A win against Middle Tennessee. Hoorah! Fortunately, Georgia will have a bigger test at Missouri this week. |
9 |

I'll put them up since Wisconsin and the representative for the Pac-12 Sucks division are the two obvious teams that are lower than Miami. Also, Miami is slowly redeeming themselves. |

Smh. Ya'll better pray your asses for at Iowa. |

Other people have them very high, although not by much. Colorado looks like a much stronger team than USC, and the rest of the Pac-12 South. Mind you, they are the only undefeated team in the division as well. We'll have to wait until mid-October to see where this team is truly at since the matches are at USC and at Washington. |

I'll probably be the person with the highest ranking for North Texas, but I really do think the Mean Green will be the G5 NY6 representative. After their thrashing at Arkansas, the only match I could see them struggle is at UAB. Other than that, dare I say, this season should easily be an undefeated slate. |

Is there seriously a chance that LSU can beat Alabama later on? We'll see. Other than that, welcome back LSU! Geaux Tigers! |
14 |
![]() |
It's the same case for LSU, except a much worse rigor of out-of-conference opponents. |
15 |

It may be somewhat messy, but it was a win nevertheless. Also, it was against a very strong Utah defense. |

A win against SMU. Yay. |

Duke looks strong against two players that are on multiple watch lists? Oh this may be a force to be reckoned with. Miami, I think we found your challenger along with Virginia Tech. |

Yeah, more people are paying attention to Boston College, so I hope this ranking should be completely fine. I shouldn't have to explain. |

A win against a Boise State team that massacred their opponents. This may be a start to the rise of a program. We just need to see if they can compete away. |

I won't punish them too much considering how tough their opponent was, but a loss is a loss. |

Now this time, literally nothing happened. |

It's Akron...or Buffalo. *sees their list of P5 opponents*Oh yeah, Buffalo. Also I should mention that Buffalo had a strong win against Eastern Michigan and has a buttload of talent this year. Yet another G5 team that may be overlooked. |

I'll put Iowa in to round off my top 25 because I don't want to have a random team jumping up several spots again (stupid USC). |
