bretticus733 13 Was Illinois the quietest 10 win team of the season? It seemed like after Illinois lost to Penn State, they fell out of the public eye but they just kept winning a lot, and they ended it with a win over the hottest team in the country in their bowl win over South Carolina. Bret Bielema has been a fantastic hire for the Illini, and while I don’t think Illinois has a shot at winning the B1G title next season, maybe they can contend for a CFP at-large spot?

Zloggt 15 WOOOO!!!! Maybe they're higher than they should be, but c'mon! After St. Bert and his motley crew helped cap off an incredible season that Urbana-Champaign hasn't seen in decades by dispatching of the Dixie Menace that's destroying the very moral fabric of the sport in the Cheez-It Bowl (all due respect to South Carolina)...I think I deserve to be a bit biased with the team(s) I love hahahaha.

FrontRunner51 18 Could go either way with S.Carolina (17) and Illinois (18). Despite the head to head win, Illinois wasn't as dominant in many of their wins against poor teams (needed OT to beat Purdue??), so I'm dinging them for that.

quantum_jedi 20 (+1) Illinois flew under the radar this year in the B1G, but quietly had a terrific season and capped it with a win over South Carolina in their bowl game. We'll see if the Illini can take the next step to compete with the upper tier of the B1G.
