3 BYU Cougars Big test in the holy war but rivalries are always tight no matter the records involved so survive and advance
4 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio st has a big game in a couple of weeks and if they win the rematch against Oregon is going to happen in a better location for the buckeyes
5 Texas Longhorns Georgia losing wasn’t great but demolishing Florida helps prove that they can continue on this trajectory and win the sec
6 Penn State Nittany Lions Get right game but need help in the big ten race or just needed James Franklin to win against good opponents
7 Tennessee Volunteers Nico injury hurts but they have been playing really well defensively and right now they are going as far as their defense takes them
8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Irish wanted this to be FSU of last year but a wins a win as they say
9 Boise State Broncos Aston jeanty does this team a disservice because the rest of the roster is legitimately good with jeanty taking them to that next level
10 SMU Mustangs The traditional ACC leader SMU. However really most people would be surprised if you told them SMU would be leading the ACC in its first season. Beating Pitt now looks worse but Louisville is starting to look better.
11 Alabama Crimson Tide The crimson tide can roll to the end as long as they don’t trip up like they did earlier this year in Nashville
12 Ole Miss Rebels Ole miss keeps their hopes alive with the huge win vs Georgia. They made Georgia look how Georgia made Texas look
13 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia falls to ole miss. Beck isn’t a great QB and doesn’t look like a Stetson Bennett either. Really how did they beat Texas like that. But they can get right with a big win vs Tennessee this week and regain control over their destiny
14 Miami Hurricanes Skating by for multiple weeks isn’t conducive to being a great team and now a loss to GT really punctuates how bad that defense is when Cam isn’t pulling heroics out of his
15 Army West Point Army finally trails this year but the game vs the Irish really is the only one to look at for the rest of the season because a win their catapults them into poll position to making g5 slot of the playoffs

17 Clemson Tigers Clemson is going as far as the offense can take them when they are playing well they have rolled but both in losses they didn’t look good. The question comes to is their offense good or the defenses they play that bad
18 Washington State Cougars Unfortunately winning the pac 12 this year isn’t a huge accomplishment like last year but all they can do is keep winning and hope the mwc schedule is enough to push them forward
19 Kansas State Wildcats Kstate is good and needs to improve their play but isu losses have hurt their chances as well as the big 12 just not being great this year
20 Colorado Buffaloes Colorado has a good win vs tech but again the big 12 not being great this year has hurt them
21 Missouri Tigers I don’t believe in Missouri and the way they win proves it. Squeaking it out against a bad Oklahoma and getting blown out of the state of Alabama hurt as well. But they keep winning and really they don’t have a chance at the playoffs without a lot of help but it’ll be a good season for Missouri
22 LSU Tigers Disappointing loss at home in the vaunted night game at Death Valley. Brian Kelly once against proves stereotypes true with the loss in a big game
23 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns The Cajuns keep winning and only have 1 loss but really need to keep winning and they will have a great season for them
24 Tulane Green Wave Tulane has been really good despite losing Fritz they have crushed who they need to have shown the ability to win close games and survive and advance towards the aac championship game vs army
25 Iowa State Cyclones Barley clinging on because despite being undefeated have suffered two decisive losses in a row and it’s not in the vain of Alabama vs auburn kick six but in the same vain as Alabama vs mtsu losses
