Overall Rationale: What a weird week. I'm suddenly feeling less than confident on half these teams, is anyone good? Well, Georgia, Texas, and Ohio State are good, maybe great. The Horns get a bump over Ohio State after dominating Michigan, but that trio is still the top tier. In the rest of the top 10, I rewarded teams that showed up in big ways, most notably the Vols. I am all in on this Tennessee, they are complete on both sides of the ball and I'm willing to show my confidence in them here with a top 5 ranking. Miami and Missouri both get a bump as well while Notre Dame/Michigan tumble and Oregon/Penn State get bumped just a hair for less than outstanding performances despite escaping with wins. Plenty of teams in the middle of this ranking get promoted a spot or two despite lackluster performances (OU, K-State, Arizona) but in this weird week riddled with upsets, a win is a win. I also finally allowed myself to rank Nebraska, a team I liked coming into the season but needed to make sure were able to move on mentally from the challenges of the past two regimes.
