ColombianInIowa24 Ballot for 2024 Week 3

Ballot Type: Computer

Submitted: Sept. 8, 2024, 2:01 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Got the model up and running, using a Quiz Bowl seeding structure, spreads and W-L to make a coherent conclusion. A bit reactive during the opening weeks but oh well.

Rank Team Reason
Northern Illinois Huskies Unsurprisingly, the model overreacted when I told it that they beat Notre Dame. Still... they probably deserved to be ranked?
Washington Huskies Unimpressive, but inertia keeps them here.
Georgia Bulldogs Impressive and inertia.
Missouri Tigers "
Ohio State Buckeyes "
Arizona Wildcats What does it see in them? Inertia.
Texas Longhorns Not enough inertia. Probably should be higher.
Alabama Crimson Tide Eh.
Ole Miss Rebels Eh.
Syracuse Orange Basically just a crapshoot for who gets to stand now that FSU's corpse is battered.
Boston College Eagles See above.
Duke Blue Devils My team! Won a terribly ugly match against Northwestern, but because of the mild upset nature was rewarded by a much higher place in a week of mostly poor performances at the top.
Oregon Ducks Shooting left and right, coming out on top in a less than glorious end.
James Madison Dukes Inertia alone. Hangs on by a thread.
Penn State Nittany Lions Maybe BGSU is legit? Or perhaps PSU sucks.
Memphis Tigers Remarkably dominant.
Toledo Rockets Inertia.
USC Trojans Needs boost, but isn't going to get it playing Utah State.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Barely a win, but hang on to that inertia.
Liberty Flames Still hate JMU.
Iowa State Cyclones My other team! CyHawk secured, ranking sniped. Was it a fluke... absolutely not.
Kansas State Wildcats Climb in KSU, nice win over Tulane even if a beat cheap.
Illinois Fighting Illini Beats Kansas, seems you can hold your own.
Louisville Cardinals Unhappily underrated.
Tennessee Volunteers Always overrated. Why did people rank NCSU in the first place? I swear it was just to give UT a quality win. NCSU is bad.
