PrimalCookie Ballot for 2024 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 8, 2024, 1:30 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Texas Longhorns (+2) Pretty hard not to take Texas to the top after that performance
Georgia Bulldogs (-1) Gave up 3 points smh
Ohio State Buckeyes (-1) Gave up... 0 points? I can't make the same joke again unfortunately, they probably won't care though since Michigan lost
Alabama Crimson Tide (=) Made it way tougher than it should've been, but they pulled away at the end so I won't punish them that much
Ole Miss Rebels (+2) Another week, another blowout over lesser competition. But it is pretty impressive
Miami Hurricanes (+3) I don't want to live in a world where the U truly is back, but maybe it'll make my Gators look better if the Canes just destroy everyone...?
USC Trojans (+4) I've seen enough (or, really I haven't seen it since Xfinity blocked BTN, but whatever) - USC is a pretty good football team. Any shutout by a Lincoln Riley team is going to get my attention
Oregon Ducks (-3) I was trying not to overreact too much to last week, and thought I was vindicated when Idaho beat Wyoming earlier in the day, but Oregon most definitely did not look like a top 5 team last night. I think Boise will be pretty good so it's not full panic button yet, but yeahhhhh it hasn't been pretty so far
Tennessee Volunteers (+6) I'll be damned, that Iamaleava guy Vols were hyping up is actually as good as they said. I can't wait to see how they lose to UF this time
Missouri Tigers (+2) Sure, it's Murray State and Buffalo, but Mizzou hasn't given up a single point so far
Utah Utes (+3) Nice P5 win. Rising being hurt *again* sucks
Penn State Nittany Lions (-4) Woooooaaaaaaah nelly. The classic letdown game almost got them. Again, not trying to overreact a ton, but yeesh
Oklahoma State Cowboys (+3) It wasn't pretty, but they came back and won and that's what matters
Louisville Cardinals (+3) I'm all aboard the Louisville train. I'm surprised how much disrespect they got this offseason after a really good year, and they've looked just as good so far
Oklahoma Sooners (-2) ...that was something. Neither team wanted to win that game, but Oklahoma got it done so they only go a little down
Kansas State Wildcats (+2) I'm not worried, it was another quite good Tulane team on the road. Get the W and move on
Michigan Wolverines (-7) Poll inertia moment, but I'm not dropping the defending champs too far for one loss... a big loss, yeah, but the principle stands (I think)
Nebraska Cornhuskers (+4) I was already on the Nebraska train and I suspect a lot will join me on it after that beatdown of Colorado
Clemson Tigers (NR) Maybe I judged Clemson a little too harshly. I was expecting them to be in a dogfight with App and instead they blew the doors off of them. That's enough to get them back in here
Memphis Tigers (+3) Memphis, please make my day next week, because we all know the Gators won't
Arizona Wildcats (+3) 2-0, but I just don't feel confident in this team at all. They were tied with UNM at half (before running away with it) last week, now they were tied with NAU at half this week and didn't run away with it nearly as much. They can't afford another performance like that at KSU next week
Boston College Eagles (NR) Their win over FSU was more impressive than GT's to begin with, and now they've added a nice shutout. FCS, sure, but still
UNLV Rebels (NR) UNLV's 27-7 win at Houston was already impressive, but doubly so now that the Cougs almost beat Oklahoma
South Carolina Gamecocks (NR) I don't love it with how shaky they were against ODU last week, but that was a really solid away SEC win
LSU Tigers (=) That was a game for way too long, but I gave Bama the benefit of the doubt for pulling away at the end so I suppose I'll do the same here
