GatorBolt Ballot for 2023 Week 11

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 6, 2023, 10:40 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Competitive game against a good Mizzou team and they win again. Now a spicy matchup with Lane awaits. Must be nice.
Michigan Wolverines Another week, another win. Now their schedule finally sees a ranked team in Penn State
Ohio State Buckeyes Their defense is amazing, nothing else to it. Props to them taking a solid Rutgers team's best punch then putting it away.
Washington Huskies I moved them up because I just feel I've been too hard on them. They still have a win against Oregon and while USC is a flawed team it's still impressive to win on the road in a shootout.
Florida State Seminoles I passed Washington over them but my decision is more on Washington than anything FSU did. And FSU took care of business again on Saturday. Must be nice.
Oregon Ducks Solidly the best one loss team in the country.
Texas Longhorns Somehow survived against K-State. Still, a gritty victory that past post-Colt McCoy Texas teams would have flubbed. And now the path is clear for a berth in Jerry World.
Alabama Crimson Tide This year's Alabama going from a plodding offense against USF to being able to keep up and beat LSU in a shootout is most impressive. Saban still has tricks in his hat.
Penn State Nittany Lions Fairly or unfairly, Penn State will be judged against what they do against Ohio State and Michigan every year. While they did drop against Ohio State, this Michigan game can make up a lot of goodwill.
Ole Miss Rebels Fun win over A&M, now a spicy matchup awaits.
Louisville Cardinals How did they lose to Pitt again?
Oregon State Beavers Solid win over Colorado.
Utah Utes Took care of business against Arizona State.
Tennessee Volunteers Good win over UConn, taking care of business. Now a fun game against Mizzou awaits.
James Madison Dukes Once again, I hate the NCAA rule
Liberty Flames With Air Force being shot down by Army, Liberty is probably one of the leaders for the NY6 G5 spot.
Oklahoma State Cowboys What a turnaround this season. Going from the South Alabama and Iowa State losses to a legit resume with wins over Oklahoma, KSU, and Kansas is just so impressive.
LSU Tigers Probably the best 3 loss team now. The Daniels injury does worry me that it could snowba.... who am I kidding they play Florida next week.
Missouri Tigers Still a good team, the talent gap decided the game against Georgia in the end. Now a battle for Second in the East awaits against the Vols.
Kansas Jayhawks Got a win in Ames. Can't believe I'm ranking them over Oklahoma this late in the year.
Oklahoma Sooners They had a clear path to the playoff and flubbed it. What a shame.
Tulane Green Wave They survived against East Carolina, but now they are very much in the race for back to back NY6 berths.
Arizona Wildcats What an improvement from Jedd Fisch in the desert after how moribund Sumlin left the Cats. Good for... UF alum Jedd Fisch, who is a member of the Spurrier coaching tree? Interesting.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Well, they faced Dabo's wrath after Tyler from Spartanburg.
Fresno State Bulldogs With Air Force losing, while that doesn't affect the MWC race purely, there is a new life for the Bulldogs' hopes.
