bretticus33 Ballot for 2023 Week 11

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 5, 2023, 2:18 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Another shaky 1st half/strong 2nd half from Ohio State. IDK if this is the best team in the country but for at least another week, they have the best resume.
Georgia Bulldogs It wasn’t a “Georgia Death Star” performance from Georgia, but it was a good one against a good Missouri team.
Washington Huskies Welcome back Washington’s offense, and goodbye Washington having a good defense.
Florida State Seminoles Washington was getting docked for unimpressive wins over ASU and Stanford, it’s only fair we do the same to Florida State.
Michigan Wolverines Michigan finally getting their first on-field test of the season against Penn State
Texas Longhorns Yeah Malik Murphy is terrible. Texas needs Ewers back ASAP
Alabama Crimson Tide Just don’t doubt Nick Saban.
Oregon Ducks Another week, another dominant victory. Oregon behind Texas and Bama because they both have two wins over ranked teams.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State looked pretty damn good against Maryland, but the question will be if Franklin’s team can actually carry that into a big game.
Ole Miss Rebels It wasn’t pretty or easy, but Ole Miss survived against Jimbo’s A&M. This was the point last season when Ole Miss collapsed.
Louisville Cardinals Louisville went up against a surging Virginia Tech and shut them down handily. Louisville most underrated team in nation?
Oregon State Beavers OSU didn’t look great against Deion’s squad, but so many losses ahead of them really helps them out.
Utah Utes Utah took out their frustration from last week on poor ASU. Get helped out by so many losses ahead of them.
James Madison Dukes Put James Madison in a damn NY6 bowl
Oklahoma State Cowboys I’m sorry for doubting OK State. Enjoy the “it’s been thousands of days since Oklahoma won Bedlam” posts.
Missouri Tigers It was a 9 point loss, but I was still somewhat impressed by Missouri. They play Georgia tougher than most teams do and have been the closest to beating them in the regular season the last 3 years.
Kansas Jayhawks Ames is a tough place to play, so good win for Kansas who is well within the Big 12 race.
Tennessee Volunteers I’m not sold on Tennessee, but oh boy did they do things to UConn who is looking forward to basketball season.
Arizona Wildcats Best 3-loss team in the country? Best 3-loss team in the country.
Oklahoma Sooners You know, with all the shit Oklahoma talked after the RRR, they appear to have forgotten they still had half the season to play. Chokelahoma.
Tulane Green Wave In theory, they lead the G5 NY6 race thanks to not sucking as much as Air Force did, but this year’s Tulane is nowhere near as good as last year’s.
LSU Tigers LSU is like USC in the south: wasting a great QB with an awful defense, although that QB wasn’t as great on Saturday as he has been most of the year.
Liberty Flames I get people don’t like Liberty, I don’t either. But it could be a problem that Liberty could get left out of the NY6 picture entirely despite going undefeated.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Marcus Freeman ain’t it.
North Carolina Tar Heels Honestly, I don’t really think any of the other teams I had in mind were deserving of a top 25 spot. This could have been any of like 4 or 5 different teams.
