Overall Rationale: This is not a power ranking but rather resume ranking. This is a way to objectively rank teams based on who they've beaten and who they've lost to. In this system, you get 1 point for each win with a bonus point for each road win and 1/2 a point for neutral site wins. In addition, for each team you beat you get a point for each win vs. FBS teams they have. The idea is that beating a good team (more wins) should be worth more. Similarly, you lose one point for a loss. Another point is lost if you lose at home. Finally, you lose a point for each loss that the teams that beat you have. So, losing to a good team doesn't hurt as much as losing to a bad team. This updates as the season progresses so you are not penalized for beating a good team early rather than late.
