Overall Rationale: Wins and losses are weighted very heavily. A team with the same or better record who won head to head has to be above the team they beat. It's just common sense. TCU shifted up this week for me after reconsidering their full body of work vs Alabama and Oregon, although the gap is still small. The top 4 has very little separation, so very minor shifts changed my order a lot, with OSU moving down from #1 to #4. Tulane and Kansas State have been pretty much tied together all year, and I still don't see a reason for K-State to be ahead of them. Tulane has a better record and won on the road vs them. K-State's win this past week was shocking and very impressive. Both them and Oklahoma State moved massively. Coastal is sitting there at 7-1 and is the only unranked one-loss team, but I need to see them win more before they are allowed back into my top 25. Penn State actually moved UP for me after their performance vs Ohio State. Side note: Having NC State above Syracuse in the AP top 25 is actually impossible to understand, considering Syracuse dominated them super recently and they have the same record in the same division. Oregon State sneaks into the top 25 having not beaten anyone truly great, but having only lost to great teams, including holding USC to 17 in a 3 point loss. They are pretty unknown to me. UCF gets a big win vs Cincinnati last week, and suddenly their loss to Louisville looks a lot better too.
