LeWoofle Ballot for 2021 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 20, 2021, 7:12 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Human poll relying mostly on Resume, SoS, and MoV. Eye-test used sparingly, and only in situations with similar bodies of work for the season. Unfortunately, some of this poll relies on pre-season rankings for big name teams, but i try to actively negate poll inertia and allow strong movements up and down if the resume doesnt support your placements after the win or loss.Preseason poll inertia still slightly in effect for teams like Clemson/OU/Notre Dame. If they dont pick up performance, theyre all gonna stagnate in the 15-25 range here pretty soon.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Close win against a very good Florida team. They were made to look mortal though, and im no longer convinced they are unbeateable.
Georgia Bulldogs
Oregon Ducks Moved up to 3 simply because OU moved back.
Iowa Hawkeyes
Penn State Nittany Lions Auburn looked quite good, and even with their loss to PSU will stay ranked. This gives PSU 2 high quality wins, enough to put them in the mix for top 5.
Texas A&M Aggies Played a bad team, but the QB struggles from the Colorado game look answered. They move back up from 9 to 6.
Cincinnati Bearcats They moved back 1 spot with a win, not because it was a bad win, but because other teams wins are more impressive.
Florida Gators Moved from 11 to 8 in a loss you say? Yes. 2 point loss to the number 1 team is a heavy SoS and MoV boost, and this team looks for real. If this was solely a power ranking ballot, i think Florida could challenge Oregon and Iowa for their spots. Its not solely a power ranking ballot though.
Ohio State Buckeyes
Oklahoma Sooners This team has lost the benefit of the doubt. Rattler looks lost, and this is the second fairly close game against a not good team. Down to the bottom of the top ten with ya.
Ole Miss Rebels
Fresno State Bulldogs This team looks ridiculous. 1 score loss to Oregon on the road, a true WALLOPING of the bad teams they played, and then a victory against a good UCLA in which they looked dominating. There is nothing anyone can say to convince me that FSU doesnt belong in the top 15, and ill die on this hill until they lose.
BYU Cougars I foolishly didnt have BYU ranked last week, and maybe this is a bit too high to make up for it.
Clemson Tigers UGA was a good loss, but GA Tech wasnt a good win. Clemson will stagnate around here for this week.
Arkansas Razorbacks
Iowa State Cyclones
UCLA Bruins I still think UCLA is a good team, im just extremely high on FSU so i dont penalize them as much for the loss.
Michigan State Spartans I had Michigan State at 16 last week, and even with the win, im dropping them down to 18 because im just convinced that Miami is a bad team now. Not fair i know. MSU has the B1G to worry about now, so we'll see if they continue to rise.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers I need this team to play a GOOD team to know where to put them.
Michigan Wolverines
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Im not high on this team at all. Im not sure why i even have them still ranked.
Kansas State Wildcats
Auburn Tigers Pretty good game for 85% of the game against a Strong PSU. No big ol penalty for losing a closer than the score suggests game.
Wisconsin Badgers
Virginia Tech Hokies
