Overall Rationale: Welcome back to college football season! I'm once again running TERSE (the Totally Experimental Ranking System for Everybody), which you can read all about at https://i.imgur.com/cj3L6XW.png ----------------- The biggest story from TERSE's preseason ballot: it's as high on G5s as ever. #3 Cincinnati leads the way, with two American, two Sun Belt, and one Mountain West team all finding spots in the top 25. That's pretty high for a preseason group, but it's worth noting that the average AP Poll in the last three years went from 1.7 ranked G5s in the preseason to 6.3 in the final poll. ----------------- As usual, you'll find commentary on each week's TERSE Top 25 at my personal blog, cornsports.wordpress.com. Starting next week, however, you'll also be able to read my game previews in the Seventh Day Adventure series for FootballOutsiders.
