Ballot Type: Human

Overall Rationale: "None"? How insulting. Of course I have rationale! I just never said it was good rationale. First N Out - Iowa State, Navy
Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| LSU Tigers | LSU's hold on the top spot is slipping. |
| Ohio State Buckeyes | Ohio State took down a very good Penn State and gets rewarded by facing two more good teams in a row. |
| Clemson Tigers | Clemson's largely sailed through their schedule and will likely face their steepest challenge when they play the winner of UVA-VT. |
| Alabama Crimson Tide | Alabama at 4th seems high, but they've looked better than pretty much all the other one-loss teams. |
| Georgia Bulldogs | Georgia's loss to South Carolina continues to dog them. |
| Utah Utes | The Utes probably have the clearest shot at the playoff of all the teams currently on the outside. |
| Oklahoma Sooners | The Sooners now have two more opportunities to move up in the rankings. |
| Minnesota Golden Gophers | The Golden Gophers will look to fend of the rival Badgers and punch their ticket to Indianapolis. |
| Penn State Nittany Lions | A loss to a great Ohio State moves Penn State down in my rankings, though I think they're the best two-loss team in the country. |
| Florida Gators | The Gators are still sort of floating around in this part of my rankings and move more as a result of other teams' performances than their own. |
| Baylor Bears | The Bears sit outside my top 10, but they could easily jump back into the picture. |
| Wisconsin Badgers | The Badgers still have a shot at winning the B1G, which would itself be big. |
| Memphis Tigers | I'm very high on the Tigers and think they're the best team coming out of the G5 this year. |
| Michigan Wolverines | Michigan seems to have somehow shifted the narrative in such a way that people downplay their three-score loss to Wisconsin. |
| Oregon Ducks | Don't lose to unranked teams, kids. |
| Cincinnati Bearcats | I think the Bearcats are the most capable of challenging Memphis for G5 supremacy and they sit just outside my top 15. |
| Iowa Hawkeyes | The Hawkeyes have played some very good teams, and even beat one of them, though a lot of folks seem to overlook them. |
| Notre Dame Fighting Irish | Navy winning doesn't suddenly make Notre Dame less mediocre. |
| Auburn Tigers | Has everyone forgotten that Auburn has three losses?? |
| Appalachian State Mountaineers | I'm pretty high on the Mountaineers despite their rough loss. |
| Boise State Broncos | The Broncos have had a pretty good season and look capable of moving into my top 20, or maybe even top 15. |
| Virginia Tech Hokies | At 8-3, the Hokies have really turned their season around and will look to win the right to get curb-stomped by Clemson in Charlotte. |
| Virginia Cavaliers | The Cavaliers can win the Coastal; all they have to do is beat the team they haven't beaten in 92 years (or however long it's been). |
| Oklahoma State Cowboys | I have to submit 25 teams, so here you go. |
| North Dakota State Bison | #1 in the FCS, #25 in my ballot. |
