ShamusJohnson13 Ballot for 2019 Week 5

Ballot Type: Human

Rank Team Reason
Clemson Tigers The Clemson Tigers are really good team, but they're not light years in front of the pack anymore. They take my top spot not because of what they did, but rather that LSU allowed Vandy to score 38 points. Otherwise, despite a defense that is not at the level it was last season and Trevor Lawrence's step back, this team is a monster still.
LSU Tigers The Tigers can clearly score at will, the problem lies in their defense in that it's like a strainer. It's therefore unclear whether or not these Tigers are an actual Shere Khan or Tigger.
Alabama Crimson Tide See the LSU Tigers. The offense is loaded with weapons, but the o-line is an issue. Their defense is young and inexperienced. Despite Tua and the wide recievers, this is the weakest Bama has looked in nearly a decade.
Oklahoma Sooners Despite the bye, Oklahoma has still been impressive enough to hold the number 4 slot. If their defense keeps playing well, they might quickly hit number 1 in my books.
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia is... good. Not great, but good. At least that's what they're showing me, with their struggle against Vandy, early struggle with Murray State and now against a solid Notre Dame team.
Ohio State Buckeyes Oh cool you hung 76 on a hapless Miami (Ohio) team. You look good, but I'm not sure that once the competition gets, well, competitive, that you'll still be scoring 70+ points like they were going out of fashion.
Wisconsin Badgers Wisconsin has only allowed 14 points in 3 games, while their offense has railroaded their opponents without mercy. I'm surprised and excited by this. If they keep this up, that's the only direction they'll be headed.
Iowa Hawkeyes Their offense might be tied with UMass for yards, but the Hawkeyes are undefeated largely on the back of their stout defense. Iowa's first real test though will be a gauntlet against a struggling Michigan team and Penn State.
Auburn Tigers Despite the victories, there are definitely weak points that several teams can exploit. Considering you struggled in two of your wins, one of those at home against Tulane, don't be surprised if Mississippi State also gives you a scare.
California Golden Bears Cal has one of the best, if not the best, defenses in the country. This team is winning, even if the games are close.
Boise State Broncos
Kansas State Wildcats
Penn State Nittany Lions
Virginia Cavaliers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Washington Huskies
Michigan Wolverines
Florida Gators
Oregon Ducks
Tulane Green Wave
UCF Knights
Utah Utes
SMU Mustangs
Washington State Cougars
USC Trojans
